Wow, What a dick Trevor Francis is!!!!
We played an almost reserve team today, and that back 4 will never start like that in the PL but for Francis to basically say that's the only reason Sunderland won then dismiss your players being fitter is a joke.
Sunderland were fitter.
Sunderland were sharper.
Sunderland wanted it more.
Sunderland were, player for player, better than the team Spurs put out today.
Yes it was a weak Spurs team but still one that could easily place in the top half of the PL so I think to completely dismiss it as a spurs loss not a sunderland win is very unfair.

New players all looked good, especially the youngsters Ba and Karlsson looked well up for proving a point both excellent.
Brown looked like a new signing, the guy looks very fit and has not lost his touch or vision. Could be massive for us if he can stay fit.

I think the best thing about the victory even though it was a friendly might just settle any doubts about new faces joining us and about the changes happening. We aint world beaters yet but it looks very likely we may be heading in the right direction for the first time in a while.
I think him, Sess and Johnson could pick up a lot of points this season mate.
Agree pecs, when we were shi*house last season he was our shining light.. I get the feeling this season he'll find his place! 'consistently' as someone pointed out earlier he and ba have already clicked and by going by some of the photo's i've already seen him and giacherinni are clicking too
As I said earlier, we have it all to prove this season. Let the Francis, Merson's and Le titiers have their knowledgeable say as thats what they gat paid for ( bleat on about the top 5) and it's up to us to do the business and shove the comments where the sun don't shine. All the newguys looked like they can play a bit so here's hoping for a top ten ans a decent season. Iv'e said a few rimes now, I just don't see PDC allowing himself (foremost) and the club to fail.
