You should deff be looking to get at least one more season out of Suarez after the way you have all stood by him.
Only need to inform Suarez about any bid over £M40 we're not under any obligation to sell. He can force the transfer by handing in a transfer request. Also,Arsenal not the first choice of Suarez. Liverpool prefers not to sell to a premiership club.

This could work out quite nicely for us - even though i'm ****ting it a bit, I don't think we are stupid enough to sell to Arsenal and if anyone abroad actually fancies him then they know that there is no point bidding less than £40m as we will be (hopefully) rejecting that already.
I really hope that we don't sell to Arsenal but you never if they were to offer £50-55m for him. Now that Higuain is close to Napoli, I think Real Madrid will start to get serious.
How long can you take before you accept/reject a bid? We should let it go on and on, maybe give Arsenal false hope about signing him "just a few more million" and then don't let him go and they've spent the whole summer going for one player they didn't end up getting!

Liverpool, in contrast, are determined to retain the services of a player who, for all of the ugly controversies that have dogged his time at Anfield, is the outstanding figure in Brendan Rodgers' team. Liverpool have slid out of the Champions League picture in recent seasons, which has been a hammer blow to their hopes of competing for the best players, but they have still been able to attract the likes of Suarez and retain the players they want to keep. Yes, they sold Fernando Torres to Chelsea in January 2011, but few could argue that the Spaniard was a player on the rise at the time following a poor 12 months prior to his departure. The fate of Suarez offers a fork in the road for both Liverpool and Arsenal, however. If Liverpool keep him, they will deliver a statement to the rest of the football world that they remain a major player, an elite club in the same bracket as Manchester United, Barcelona, AC Milan and Bayern Munich that only deals on its terms, not those of a disgruntled member of the squad. But Arsenal also need to make a statement, to show that they are serious about competing with the big guns and live up to their claims as being one of the game's biggest clubs. Arsenal haven't done enough to back that up, but Suarez gives them the chance to weaken a rival and do to Liverpool what City and United have done to Arsenal in recent summers. Signing Suarez can be Arsenal's great leap forward, but Liverpool's fear of what may lie ahead without the 26 year-old should be their greatest motivation for keeping him.
