Alvarez is too young to be the guy i'm thinking about. The story broke about 5/6 years ago and i'm pretty sure the South American championships were taking place at the time.As I recall the player in question was in his mid/late twenties.
This must be true it's in Goal http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2892...38046/arsenal-lodge-42-million-bid-for-suarez
It's definitely true now,The Daily Nazi are reporting it http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...4/Arsenal-bid-40m-Liverpools-Luis-Suarez.html
Completely unrelated but has anyone see this vid? Funny ****:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GAcxHdr_pOA

You **** I swore I wasn't going to watch anything, listen to or read anything about the latest addition to that bunch of ****ing parasites
Not as funny as this American news report. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=4V8zkhfDGMw
Come on now, stop holding back! Not sure that they are any worse than an elected head of state parasite these days, and they do bring in a bit of revenue, but it's a fair point in my opinion. One question I always wanted to know about, was whether when they multiply, does the bottom royal on the list lose their benefits, or does the cost go up?
If we have really bid £42M for Suarez, Liverpool should accept. I doubt very much Madrid will bid over £35M for him (that's if they are even interested). We have already offered more than he is worth.
Sky Sports News ‏@SkySportsNews 12m Valencia reject Tottenham's bid for striker Roberto Saldado - Valencia president insists Tottenham must meet £26m buy-out-clause #SSN
He is anything but average. He is miles better than Giroud and he would be fantastic for the Spuds. I don't see them paying his release clause when he is 29 next year though.
