Tell you what, if we can get Gomis and Remy that would be cracking. Power and pace and proven goalscorers with a good few years left. If the rumoured prices are true, both for just under £10million. Would be crazy. As long as Remy is innocent.

Agreed get these two and we have a potent strike force. Remy especially looks like he has a lot of quality. Just got some questions over his character.

Problem is we need 3 now because Cisse is all but gone. Would love Gomis, Remy and Rhodes (we'll never get Rhodes though).

If we could sell Cisse for 12m-15m and get Remy and Gomis for a small outlay on top of that then it would be decent business. I'd then want a young striker such as Rhodes so then you have him and Campbell as the back up and as time is on their side they'd probably be happy with slightly less playing time.

Move Shola on and you then have a pool of four strikers who all offer something different with Gouffran as emergency cover should our normal injury crisis occur.

It might all be pap but the rumoured price for Gomis is £4million (he's in his last year of contract so could be true) and the release clause for Remy is said to be around £5m - £6m. If so any sale of Cisse should more than cover it.

I also agree - Rhodes as well as the other two would be a very exciting prospect.

I'd be fairly happy if we got Remy and Gomis. I still haven't seen any hard evidence Cisse is going. Just a load of made up paper talk. Keep Cisse, sign those two and ship out Shola. Job done.

He hasn't travelled with the squad out to Portugal because he won't wear the Wonga logo even though he plays in the Barclays Premier League and wore the Virgin Money shirt last season, he underperformed last season but is still requesting an improved contract even though he's 28 and his deal has another four years to run.

It's basically an unofficial tranfer request so that we he does leave he gets to keep his "loyalty" bonus.

He's more certain to leave than Cabaye for me.

I haven't seen any comment from the club or Cisse to confirm this is why, or if this is even the case.

Did you see any comment from the club for a good week after the JK story first broke following his interview on talksport? I'm not sure if you've noticed but communication with the fans isn't the clubs strong point under the Ashley regime.

No I have noticed but I'm not daft enough to jump to conclusions on the basis of press reports either. Their record with accuracy is worse than the clubs at communicating.

Very convenient injury for old Shola. Should just about make sure he survives another window.

Haha, well, not quite going the way I had hoped the ol' Cricket. But I have faith in the Aussie fighting spirit. We never paid enough attention to the generation after all our stars retired, and it's been showing ever since :(

<ok> An extreme rare cycle bred complacency. You had the most ridiculous generation of cricketers. Windies did the same thing.
