I've little problem with a new sponsorship renaming deal. Like it or not, we need lots of money to move the club forward. Gfh need to explore every avenue and if this greets us a step nearer to the pl I'm all for it. What does the club website say, something about forget the past and all move on together or something like that

Leeds United are in talks over a megabucks link-up with energy drink giant Red Bull that could lead to the renaming of the club’s Elland Road ground.
The Yorkshire Evening Post understands top-level discussions have started between club and company about a possible shirt sponsorship agreement.
No-one involved in those discussions is prepared to go on record as to how far reaching any deal could be.
But today’s revelation is likely to prompt speculation that a stadium naming rights deal could also be under consideration.
Red Bull is already involved with a string of football clubs around the world – the New York Red Bulls and Austria’s FC Red Bull Salzburg play in grounds named after the company.
Asked whether the talks could involve a stadium naming rights deal, highly-respected brands expert Jonathan Gabay said: “It’s not out of the question.
“They would have to be cautious, because the initial reaction of football fans is to resist that kind of move. At the same time, however, I think fans are coming round to the idea that this is the way the sport is going.”
Mr Gabay added: “As a brand, Red Bull is all about the idea of excitement. They would want to be involved with a club which matches that image.”
United have made no public comment but managing director David Haigh is known to have well-placed contacts at Red Bull.
A source close to the talks told the YEP: “Red Bull are a huge brand name and a partnership with Leeds would obviously be a really exciting coup.”
Red Bull’s turnover in 2012 was close to five billion euros. The firm’s sporting interests away from football include a Formula 1 motor racing team.

There is a fine line between good investment and selling your soul, and people will each have there line what one person feels is good business another will shout "rape".
We need investment everyone on here has been crying out for that since we dropped from the premiership and I for one do not care what they call the stadium, I have been going to Ellamd Road since 1957 on and off and it will always be Ellamd Road but hey, if they get us back up where we should be the welcome to the "Red Bull Stadium".

Pepe although I have some sympathy with your views and probably many more, I'm also a realist.
We have watched our club slide down the fashionable stakes over the last 10-years. We seen the club name dragged through courts, we've seen some dodgy legal obfuscations, we've seen our money (Gate reciepts) stolen and moved into offshore banks. We've witnessed one of the great football scandals and rip-offs in history, as Bates and mates walked away with millions after investing zero of their own cash. Clubs like Wigan, Stoke, Hull, Blackpool, Birmingham, Brighton, Watford, Reading, Sweansea, Southampton, Palace ....... need I go on? many, many small clubs are richer than us because of whats happened since Ridsdale. So whatever GFH have to do to enable us to compete again, spend some cash again, get in the top flight again, compete in Europe again, stop being laughed at ..... They can call ER the sore cock stadium for me, I just want it to be a place where nobody likes to come again.

The fans will always call it Elland Road anyway, no matter what they rename it. I doubt the Cardiff fans are complaining about their colours being changed now they're promoted!
Both teams currently owned by Red Bull play in all white, so I wouldn't worry too much about a colour change
Well I won't forget the past, it's because of Revie and the lads who put this club on the map that we got to support them. I know I'll sound naive by saying this, but I personally don't care about the premier, yes it would be nice to there, but at what cost.
Red Bull, Red Devil all the same to me - might as well change your colours to red and black while they're at it - and why not go the whole hog and drop the Leeds bit and just brand you as "United"

I don't really have much to say apart from, it will always be Elland Road to me !! , it can only be a good thing for us , investment wise that is.
Red Bull is a huge brand, and one we should be very proud to be associated with. And Red Bull Stadium sounds fantastic, while it will also remain known as Elland Road.
Maybe we will own the stadium soon with such a deal.
