Scetch?

Both seem unlikely tbh, but the journo who broke the story was the first to break the Giaccherini story, which also seemed ludicrous!

Matri probably the more likely of the two

Of the 2 you'd want Osvaldo, a bit of a bruiser by all accounts, started great at Fiorentina, went off the boil, went to Spain and did great, he's an Italy international but he's actually Argentinian.

He'd have no problems adapting to the Prem in my opinion, but I'd imagine the fee would be pretty big.

Matri, nice touch and movement, scrappy finisher though, and he is sloooooooooow for a striker, not so keen on that one.

Don't remember his name being mentioned before, but I've lost track of everyone linked to us! Here goes...

CALCIOMERCATO JUVENTUS SUNDERLAND - Not only Emanuele Giaccherini in the sights of Sunderland : the club coached by Paolo Di Canio is now also finished in the footsteps of Alessandro Matri , as Pablo Daniel Osvaldo is shaking. According to reports by the expert market Alfredo Pedulla , the Black Cats after Altidore are thinking about another striker, which could be the black and white, as long as they decide to move to the Premier League. Has more chance the midfielder, for which the Sunderland is raising the offer, much to the groped Juventus .

"Groped Juventus"? - not sure I like the sound of that! However, he had good stats at Juve: 27 goals in 69 games according to the all-knowing Wikipedia.

I think we will just get another loan striker to cover Graham (Vydra or Guidetti).

Major issues at the back to sort out before we waste time with more strikers.

graham gone, ji will be gone, wickham will be gone, sess? who knows?, fletcher (injured, no pre season). we ill sign at least 2 strikers imo

Wouldn't be surprised to see Ji stay. Sounds like all concerned at the club rate him. Dortmund look like they've moved on to another South Korean striker (clearly looking for a specific profile signing from SK) and FC Augsburg declaring themselves out and skint. All seems to have gone cold on Ji's departure.

How about Ignacio Scocco to keep Gino company - we were linked to him a few weeks back.
It says here that he could sign with International of Brasil for $7m thats less than we paid for Danny Graham ~£4.6m :emoticon-0111-blush

Wow, I'd have to say yes, please, thank you. That vid makes him look mint!

http://fedenerazzurra.com/2013/08/13/sunderland-offered-9-million-for-osvaldo/

Despite not being the player’s most favorite destination, Sunderland are insisting on Pablo Daniel Osvaldo. According to the Daily Star, the English club has made its first offer for the Roma forward and it is believed to be about 9 million euros. Certainly, this figure will not meet the demand of Roma because the Giallorossi are asking for twice as much. The Saints, however, are very confident and hope to have the forward for the first Premier League match this season.

We've officially done it. We've now been linked with every striker in Italy. :1980_boogie_down:
