Bit melodramatic.
see what happens when you type in www.hullcitytigers.com, that my friends is a stealth re-brand not a gimmick or pet name. Why would they register the ISP otherwise???
Whatever.
It's a **** direction we're being taken re our identity. Laughing stock status assured.
Every time we lose it would be 'Tigers tamed', 'Toothless Tigers' etc. Special extra scorn reserved for those who give it the 'big I Am' by changing their name.......and then getting hammered.Tacky, modern, ill-thought out....how many more ways do you want to describe this sad and humiliating idea?

But it already is, or new players are damned to an eternity in Hull, or given a Hull of a choice, etc. who cares, the press write 90% bollocks anyway. I'll still talk to my mates about "City", I'll still tell people I work with that I'm from Hull and support Hull City. I'll still look for the headlines in the papers about "Tigers".
Won't you?
We should be talking to him about far more important issues, ie Transfers and pre-season tour to Dresden.
Not this rubbish.
If the owners want to change it to try and tap into Asian money then so be it. If they are successful then it's good for the club. If they are wrong then no harm done.
They have been given a massive arsenal of ammo to use against every single cITY supporter now.
'The club that changed its name. The first club to sell its soul and identity. The first club to adopt a twee silly non traditional name thus forfeiting 109 years of history and heritage. The first club to name itself after animals like some team in some micky mouse colonial competition. An utter unequivocal laughing stock and a monumental gaffe that will haunt us for decades whether it is subsequently reversed or not.'
Why do people really care? Does anybody call the club Hull City AFC? I doubt it. It's generally City, Hull or the Tigers. That's not going to change is it? So what real difference does it make to us fans? None at all.

Sorry about the "Bit melodramatic" comment. I should have said "very melodramatic"
