Cliftonville are to sell around 500 tickets on Tuesday morning for their eagerly-awaited Champions League match against Celtic at Solitude. The tickets have become available because Celtic returned some of their allocation for Wednesday's game. "Celtic told us on Monday that they had not sold all their tickets," said Cliftonville chairman Gerard Lawlor. "It is great for the fans in Belfast because we are able to make them available locally." The tickets will go on sale at 10:00 BST on Tuesday with a limit of two for each person. "Fans in Belfast have been struggling to get tickets so it is good news for the local community in north Belfast and throughout Northern Ireland that around 500 extra people will get to see this game," added Lawlor. The match is the first leg of the second qualifying round of the Champions League and is the first time Celtic, managed by former Northern Ireland midfielder Neil Lennon, have played a competitive fixture in Ireland.
I worked the 12th, covered for a Prod as that is the kind of chap I am. Will you be cheering on the mighty Reds?
That was very good of you. I was on the sauce for 5 days there, back into work now and my head is busted. Gotta love the 12th I will be paying no attention to the game. Was talking to a tim/cliftonville fan the other day and he said people were buying season tickets just to get that game.
Only the first 250 STs bought came with the first CL game free, half the twats buying them online don't know that
Why any **** would want to travel to Norn Iron when the brainlesss rebrobates are chucking peace petrol bombs at each other, over whether they can walk down a road or not, I have no idea... The games should never have been switched!
Always thought it was a stupid idea to have it so close to the 12th especially in that area. But Cliftonville wanted it that way to make more money and Celtic agreed.
I warned about the switch on the Hoops board when it happened. Couldn't believe it, it's not like this time of year never has trouble... Seen some toothless Jock on BBC Newsline there queeing up in Castle Street for a ticket, made the Ratsjuice chap seem refined Check it out later Meds.
