This would be a much better signing than Austin. Proven Premier League pedigree, just need another striker with similar pedigree like Le Fondre or Odemwingie and I think we'll have a team capable of staying up. Great transfer business by Bruce to date. The team is shaping up very nicely.
Not sure I'd be so happy about this now, after having a look on google about him I've discovered he's even more of a prick than I thought he was to begin with, and I thought he was a massive bell end anyway. If it does happen hopefully the lads will glue his feet to the floor and TDot and A9Mac can use their ghetto experience to sort him out.
He is a massive ****er unfortunately. I also dont think he's that good a player. I fully realise Im probably in a huge minority but I would honestly rather have the likeable Carlton Cole, who did a kevin Kilbane with his wages when West ham were relegated, as he would almost certainly integrate with the existing good team spirit better. The last thing we want is to sign some talented rotten apples who would do EXACTLY what everyone at DQPR says they wished hadnt happened to them.
Erm no, you're in a small minority. That's why it's a minority. It's small. Not huge. I hope we get him tbh.
If he scores goals am happy. I am concerned about the baggage he brings though and he could upset the atmosphere.
Well everybody has been saying he's too expensive, so I guess we have our answer. That sounds more like him answering media speculation rather than him saying it's going to happen. Be interesting to see who will be coming in now.
ian flemming was involved with the cricket club i played at when i was a lad. Remember i had a knackered pair of gloves and he gave me a top of the range pair he had in his bag. Obviously courtesy of kent cricket club. He was at rhw top of his game when he was with her , so lets hope bendtner will be at the top of his for us
It just says he 'might be too expensive' which we all know anyway. It may mean contribution for wages from Arsenal and us, therefore making it affordable.
It's not that he wouldn't be worth those wages, it's that we can't afford to be throwing those kind of contracts around to anyone in our first season up.
according to todays Fail Arsenal may be willing to stump up 20k/week for his wages, Nicklas Bendtner's transfer to Hull City could be on - because Arsenal are willing to split his wages - according to The Daily Mail. "The Danish striker could cost City £3m upfront but would command a salary of around £50,000 a week. NicklasBendtner High-flyer: Nicklas Bendtner But the Gunners are so keen to offload him, they are willing to smooth a move by contrubuting £20,000 a week until the end of the season. So, is Bendtner the answer to Bruce's striking conundrum? At first glance it looks like a tempting offer. However, the 25-year-old has struggled to make a breakthrough a Premier League level - despite his fine scoring record for Denmark - and his wage demands would threaten the carefully balanced budget the Allams have worked so diligently to maintain."
