I hope he does too, if Spurs really could get 80M for him. I don't think Bale is worth 80M simply because 80M would buy Spurs a team that would be much better without Bale.

The goals, assists and threat he brings does not add up to 80M in value, and is very vulnerable to loss of form, sound marking, and injury. No doubt in my mind that the smart thing to do is cash in. Now don't get me wrong, it may work out, but the odds are that he will drop in value next year.

There's no way Bale is worth £80m. That's just bluster and guff from one outstanding season where he hauled the spuds arses along and made an otherwise indifferent season look decent. If he were playing for another 2nd tier team like Everton or Liverpool then he would have done likewise - made an inconsistent team look good.

Put him in a top team like Real Madrid or Barcelona though and you'd find out what he's really made of. I think he could play at that level, but to be honest he looks outstanding at Spurs, because the players around him are average - it's a classic 'big fish in a small pond' syndrome.

The £80m figures are reserved for the very best. Messi, Ronaldo not Bale - he is worth around £40m tops

John Cross of the Mirror has been quoted on Talksport as saying " I feel Wenger's first choice would be Suarez rather than Higuain"

No, unfortunately I am a slave to my job. I do go up to the Mojave Desert from time to time since my wife's family is from up there. I may be moving to LA soon so I will be closer. Anything up there I should know about? I've been along the 101 and up to Santa Barbara so I realize how beautiful it is up there.

The only small chance of getting Suarez would be if the player forced through a move himself, really can't see that happening

I think with Suarez publicly changing his stance from wanting to leave England to wanting to play Champions League football, has now opened up a possible move to Arsenal. It's obvious he really wants out of Liverpool, so this only benefits us and Real Madrid. There is too much flying about in the media for nothing to happen now and I have a feeling that something has got to give. We appear to be pushing both Real Madrid and Liverpools hand at the same time. A transfer i never thought possible could happen. But I feel that a lot hinges with Real. Who would they prefer, keep Higuain, or bring in Suarez? Personally we would be better off initially with Higuain, as he doesn't come with a long ban, but Suarez is proven Premier League, A grade quality.

I'd prefer Suarez, he has a killer instinct for goal and is proven in the premier league.

This does seem like a very shrewd move from Arsenal, bid for Suarez knowing that Real are interested, so if they come in for him we can get Higuian. I like our style <ok>

If Chelsea fail to get Rooney I wonder if they'll finally go after Higuain, they still badly need a striker and most of their other options have already moved or are about to

Although I guess probably not if those Mourinho comments about him are true..
