On paper, Fulham's new owner is the worst of both worlds - club owners with a background in American sports have so far proved to be disasterous (Man Utd, Liverpool, Villa), whilst owners from South Asia have also proven to be hopelessly inept (Blackburn, QPR) Hope they break the trend, though.
I actually find it hard to argue with you alot of the time Piskie as you have some good points (even if alot are negative to spurs) but that comment is laughable. Kaboul is a much better player than Vertonghen and is probably only behind Kompany as one of the best centre backs in the league.
Jeez, how many PC definitions of bits of Asia are there? I propose new definitions: Asia That's in Europe (Turkey) Asia That Should Not Be There (Israel) Asia That Gets Shat Upon By Someone That Should Not be There (Palestine) Asiastan (Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan) Asian Nations Everyone Forgets (Laos, Myanmar, East Timor) Asia That's Got Oil (Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Oman) Asia That's Rich (Singapore, Malaysia, Bahrain, Brunei) Asia That's Poor (Yemen) Asia for Gap Year Students (India, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Maldives) Asian Nations Where You Do Not Want To Be A Stuntman (Thailand, Indonesia) Your New Asian Masters (China, Japan) Bad Facsimile of Your New Asian Masters (North Korea, South Korea)

Jan Vertonghen has more to his game, a lot more effective going forward than YK, but defending, no, YK is better at that simply because of his height therefore aerial presence, which imo is the worst part of JV's game, he loses more headers than he wins. Pace is a close second, Yk lightning, JV looks like he's doing the moonwalk!
I wouldn't go that far, but Kaboul would comfortably make my top 10, as I'm sure he would for most people, very good player.
Out of curiosity who would you class as better? Mine would be (in order):- Kompany Kaboul Cahill Vertonghen Jagielka Huth David Luiz Vermaelen Agger Collocini
Cahill 3rd??? He doesn't even play in the Premier League and is an attacking midfielder. I mean surely you couldn't mean Gary
You missed Vidic off here, i can only assume it is an oversight because he has played so few games in the last two years. King only managed a few games per season for his last two years but when he played he was still one of the top three defenders in the league as is Vidic.
It's full-strength bean-to-cup coffee. I'll be buzzing my tits off all night, probably. Still, it's too bloody warm to sleep, anyway. I'm going to sit up all night and watch horror movies.
Vidic has to be on that list. I imagine most Gooners would put Koscielny/Mertesacker above Vermaelen. I'd also have Ashley Williams and Hangeland in there without a shadow of a doubt, Agger and Huth I'm not that sure about.
Apologies Vidic was as oversight! Kompany Vidic Kaboul Cahill Vertonghen Jagielka Williams David Luiz Huth Agger More like it I like Williams and he'd probably be number 11 - Hangelaand was incredible a couple years back, less so recently I felt but cant say I pay much attention to Fulham! Agger I think is hugely underrated and Huth is the only reason Stoke managed to stay in the premier league the last few years in my opinion, Although in hindsight yes I think Williams is probably better than a few of them!
South east Asia is a pretty accepted term for the Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia, Malaysia region
