Alright lads? 2Luis Suarez says he will consider all offers to leave Liverpool as he wants to compete at the highest possible level. The Uruguay international has expressed a desire to leave Anfield after becoming disillusioned with life in England. He has been linked with Arsenal and Chelsea, but Spanish giants Real Madrid are considered to the frontrunners in the race for his signature. "This club needs to fight to enter the Champions League and, when it doesn't happen, it damages the morale of any player. So I've suffered." Luis Suarez Liverpool are reluctant to let the unsettled striker leave, with boss Brendan Rodgers in 'constant communication' with the South American, but Suarez has reiterated that he will push for a move if he can further his career elsewhere. He said: "If I receive an important offer to progress my career, I will study it. Some clubs have asked about me but I hand questions over to my agent. I am no stranger to rumours. "I always want to improve. That's why I left Ajax for Liverpool. "But this club needs to fight to enter the Champions League and, when it doesn't happen, it damages the morale of any player. So I've suffered. "It is hard to view the Premier League every week with never a chance of winning it. "On top of that, the English media do not understand me. The controversies with (Patrice) Evra and (Branislav) Ivanovic were decisive. There are always extra questions when people analyse me. "After the Evra incident, it was very difficult to convince people about the 'real' Luis Suarez. Things had improved but then the incident involving Ivanovic was another blow. "Had that not happened, perhaps I would have been regarded as the best Premier League player last season." " What an absolute ****
Apart from the self-pity regarding the Ivanovich bite, that's absolutely spot-on. Had we kept Dalglish for one more season I'm sure we would have competed for CL places last season, and this season we may have been talking an outside shot of the league. FSG chose long-term rebuilding and Brendan - fair enough, but the consequences were always going to be that the best players would lose patience, a-la-Torres. And if we get no closer to CL football next season we'll see Coutinho and Sturridge getting itchy feet too, wait and see. So, apart from the whigning over the bite business (even though the punishment was grossly disproportionate) I agree with what he says. Even if he moves to another English club, he knows he won't be persecuted as much by the press and the FA, and he'll be in the hunt for trophies and CL places that he deserves to be.
Im not sure about challenging for cl under Dalglish mate, we went right of the boil unfortunately in the league Under BR we play some fantastic stuff and I prefer his signings to be fair KK came back and steadied us and gave us a cup which is just another thing to add to the list to thank him for As for Suarez he's just a complete twat, really have not go time for him now. He's a little scrote in every single way
Dalglish was never my first choice after Hodgson was shown the door, but it was INSANE to let him sign all those players and not give him another season. I have no doubt, they way Carroll was playing at the end of that season, that we'd be in a better position to compete the following term, AND we were playing good football under KK. Don't get me wrong, here we are with Brendan, we're playing the right way and rebuilding the club, but it'll take a decade at this rate (especially if we don't extend the ****ing ground!), and in this environment we'd best get used to our best players getting restless. As for Luis, he's always been a gobshite, and was too at Ajax. Doesn't disguise the fact that he has been the focus of a witchhunt by the media and the FA, and that he's too good for a mid-table side with only an outside chance of scrapping for a lower CL place at best. And loyalty works both ways - whilst he was in debt to Kenny he owes FSG NOTHING after they failed to appeal and fight over the preposterous, grandstanding over-punishment he received from the FA over the Evra case, especially after they told his agent they would appeal then **** themselves when the English media threatened to toxify their worldwide brand if they did. If I were luis I wouldn't have forgotten that, and as a fan I puke when I see the Mail et al hand-wringing about Luis's lack of loyalty to the club after they stood by him over the Evra business - my arse!
We WILL be better this season donga, have a little faith As for midtable club, we finished 7th not 10th
We need to be there fighting in the last game of the season to stand a chance of finishing in top four. I cannot remember the last time Liverpool were in that position.
Getting sick of Suarez stating he wants to leave the club out in public, total lack of disrespect. I expect us to spend throughout the window with no direct replacement for Suarez, then command the highest fee possible by playing hardball on the final days of the window. As long as we have replacements signed before we let him go then I'm all for it.
yeah.... if the rumours trio today were bought i'd tell suarez to **** himself. he'll be on the trash pile in 2 years if he keeps it up.
I'd usually say he won't care since he'll have a shed load of cash but I think Suarez is the type that just loves playing football.
yeah he won't be playing much at real... gerrard should give him owen's number except that traiterous manc would send him the wrong way....
