I give up, too many people are indifferent and have no comprehension of what a ****e idea this is.

The name change will generate **** all extra income, it will just piss off many local fans.

No club has ever generated extra income by changing their name, but we will, because our owner knows a lot about making diesel generators.

Though half the people on here don't believe we're changing our name, so the whole debate is pointless anyway.

Just to correct you Football Manager wasn't created until Football Manager 2005, after the split from the original team who designed and built Champions Manager.

I believe you are right to be concerned; the name change is a travesty, that attacks our history and identity. Your mistake is to criticise Allem' s business acumen, by painting him as a one-trick-pony with no business development skills - his history screams otherwise; he's not a generator man, he's a businessman.

But even he can make a mistake, although that is not as he will see it. He rebuilt his generator company and gave it a new identity, so he sees this as no more than a positive piece of marketing; that is why people who disagree with that should be vocal and consistent in their opposition. The dilemma you have is that most (maybe you too?) would have accepted the name change with alacrity to save the club.

The big question is, what is next?

I don't like the idea but it isn't exactly as if the "tigers" part has been plucked out of the air. It could be worse. Hull City Sharks, for example.

I am 100% against the idea of the registered football team being Hull City Tigers, I cannot imagine watching Grandstand to hear "Hull City Tigers 3 - Manchester United Devils 0".

But for a bit of marketing, does it matter? The fans will always call us Hull City, the TV/radio pundits will always call us Hull City. And maybe it would stop that camp song "mauled by the Tigers" (though I do quite like it).

"Hull City A.F.C. - The Tigers" is on our badge. To me it just looks like an extension of our marketability.

Just out of interest, do we have a date by which/on that the name of the club will change. Do we also have a statement stating that it's all the Allam's ideas? An answer to either of those from the "concerned" fans would be brill, although the date one would be the best by miles. Ta.

If we're going to change the name I'd rather drop tigers altogether and become the oranges.

Oranges are nice, and we could sell our own branded oranges and orange juice to give us an extreme revenue boost.

I certainly didn't mean to suggest they were one trick pony's, they're doing a great Job of running the club.

I just think they've got this one all wrong.

I'm with OLM on this one, rebranding won't do anything for City.

    The idea is ****e.

You're linking us with the likes of Liverpool, Man Utd, Chelsea and such and seeing the biggest reason why they're so marketable abroad. It's because they;re successful. Not because they've rebranded or their emblem/ name/ colours is special to a certain nation.

Hull city tigers........what a load of ****e. Fair enough if he wanted to change the address of the ground to west park because it sounds better, I can understand that but in my lifetime we are hull city a.f.c. And always will be. Even David Lloyd didn't go that far and he was a propper c##t!! (Bolton away tennis balls) best ever protest will never be beaten. We are H.C.A.F.C. If ypur reading this papa allam PLEASE don't change it. I get enough stick from supporting city from my out of town friends but it would be even worse if we where called (cough) hull city tigers
