Well, there's three ways of thinking about this.

1) Maybe it was all done yesterday, when Victor was around, and they're going to upload later on in Catalunya.
2) When they get to Catalunya, they are going to interview Luke and Mauricio and confirm the deal this afternoon.
3) They wait until 6pm to gather a large audience. Most people are home from work, checking in on forums, social media and news outlets.

Could it be possible for him to have signed his new contract before today like yesterday so it all done and they are just waiting for the right time to announce it? Or he has to wait until his actually 18 before he puts pen to paper?
 
Lloyd Isgrove has signed a new 1 year deal with the club. He's in Spain with the 1st team. A small teaser for Luke's signing later I suspect....
 
I think the media team are more than aware that Saints fans are expecting Shaw's contract extension today, so they have deliberately announced another young player's extension first. It's good for Lloyd though and I think he could get a chance in the first team at some point.
 
I think NC likes Southampton fans to suffer! Do you think they aim to actually dramatise each transfer? To get the maxim effect? Luke and Victor plus rest of the players we do get most likely signed up for this deal ages ago. They will leave us to suffer a couple more week and endless speculation about who we and are not buying! It could almost be a soap opera :)
 
Next it'll be Danny Fox, with the headline "left back signs contract extension".

Have to do it properly or it could be argued that it was invalid couple of years down the line...not that he would, I suspect.
