I hate days like this, I will give up before I lose any more, though it always seems to leave a sour taste in my mouth... Good luck all that have a play
York 4.05 Ubetterbegood 16-1 EW This horse has only won once but also ran well in defeat at times, I feel he is on a reasonable mark and has Neil Callan up once again who was the Jockey when he last won.
been told that My Single Malt 1st at Chester wont be out the frame at 11/2 it better well be bloody 1st stay frosty
In case no one else has flagged him up, there is a beautifully bred colt making his debut in the 4.25 at Newmarket (3yo Maiden). URBAN DANCE - a son of STREET CRY out of MELIKAH, winner of the Pretty Polly, 3rd in the Epsom Oaks, and 2nd in the Irish Oaks. Melikah is a daughter of URBAN SEA, making her a half-sister to GALILEO and SEA THE STARS among others. She is the dam of 6 runners from 8 foals of racing age (Urban Dance and her 2yo filly Hidden Gold have yet to start), 5 of them winners. Her previous foals include G2 winner and Arc 3rd MASTERSTROKE. An interesting one to watch for sure!
Just watched the Falmouth again, what does the gang make of it? The stewards get it right or do we demand a pass intereference flag to be thrown?
I think they got it right, I'd have been gutted for Elusive Kate having made all to be stripped of the win. Best Filly won imo
The issue with the interference rule is that the Stewards are interpretting the "Do you think the horse suffering interference would have won?" as "Do you think the horse suffering interference would definitely have won?" If Sky Lantern had been allowed to run straight I think yes there is a chance she would have won, and I also agree that the (at least) two whip strikes to her face only added to the issue. I wouldn't want the job that's for sure, but we have to accept that in many other countries the placings would have been revised very quickly.
THanks for pointing him out- very talented coly- very green but definately one to watch! But had a nice small win on her
Blimey, 2 horses picked, 2 winners. That hasn't happened for a while! Stick with the best bloodlines is obviously the best policy!
2 out of 4 for a tidy profit. Just got in from golf and the Mrs has got me a present Will post a pic in a mo...
The Godolphin beast is a serious animal. That was a decent yardstick field. He was being asked a question 3 or 4 furlongs out and looked beat until that extra distance really played to his strengths. Should come on for the run. Certainly interesting in pattern company where I think some black type awaits. Well done Princess.
She is a thoughtful little devil. Mentioned to her a while ago I would like a picture of Hurricane Fly and didn't think anything of it. Suppose I will have to do a bit of housework now
Cheers Bob. One of my favourite horses, along with Inglis Drever obviously. I still think he will take all the beating come next March. Although impressive, I think Our Connor and The New One have some way to go to beat this warrior. I know it's only July but it is never too early to talk about The Festival!!
Agreed, im doing the arl £10 a week on At Fishers Cross for the world hurdle, don't normally get involved this far away but im more than happy to take the plunge on this beast. Big Bucks or no Big Bucks.
