The centre of excellence is officially now known as Hull City Tigers Academy.
We are known as The Tigers, so why the problem in making the 'Tigers' more prominent.
We had a big debate about the music that the team come out onto the pitch with, a large number wanted 'Tiger Rag' but thankfully
we've gone back to 'Eye of the Tiger'.
I just don't see the problem, its not a though the 'Tigers' as been just plucked out of the air, like the 'Dragons'.

Ive been categorically told it's not a 'team name' rebrand, but elements of the organisation. Think of it like Kingston Communications and KCom, the most identifiable part of the business stays the same.
Obviously I have been lied to....

I don't actually mind the name Hull Tigers. Most people refer to us as "The Tigers" anyway.
I'm also a fan of baseball and all of those teams have names like that (Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, Toronto Blue Jays etc) and I actually think it's kind of cool.
For me to be happy with it though, it would have to be a league wide change otherwise it would look stupid if it was just one or two teams.
From the business side of things though, names like that work really well because your merchandise can suddenly be sold to people who live outside of the local area. A good example of this is New Era caps. If you could have just the tiger head on a black one of those it would sell internationally so easy (and at £30 a pop too). Saying that, you don't need a name change to make that really nice hat.
I'm full aware I'm in the minority on this, but if a better branding can provide a more financially stable future for my club then so be it.
Lol, Wolverhampton Wolves, Leeds Peacocks, Everton Toffee, Leicester ****wits....nah it'll never catch on
New Era make **** hats, America have their heritage, we have ours.
Anyone who can't see the difference, isn't worth talking to.
You're happy for Hull City to become Hull Tigers?
if it brings in revenue then all the better
