Chaplow released - Forren sold back to Molde

Norwegian press reporting a press conference called by Molde. Many of them suggesting Forren has signed for Molde on a permanent deal.

This wouldn't surprise me a great deal but what a waste of money and time. Feel sorry for the lad to be honest.

 

Well it might be his fault. I know he's good enough, but it might be a case of him not fitting in here or not working hard enough.

 

If it's true, then what a strange transfer saga. Don't know if we'll ever truly find out what happened. Suppose it means we need another CB in.

It might be, but we don't know. It's really bizarre. So really we signed nobody in January.

if he does go I think you'll find he let himself down(nobody else's fault), so I wouldn't feel too sorry for him.

You may be right, but we don't know whats going on. Out of blue as the expectation was that he was going to get his opportunity in pre season.

I think you've got to expect some transfers will go wrong, for one reason or another players are human beings.

 

Mind you, if you were in Forren's shoes and saw Lovren turn up and with Maya, Jos and Jose already ahead of you in the pecking order, would you fancy your chances?

 

So one more cb at least is wanted then.

...seems a bit extreme. Surely idle speculation?

 

Hmm...not so sure, still 4 of them that can definitely do a job, plus Stephens waiting in the wings.

 

....but worth repeating of course.

 

Near the end of the season Stephens was playing defensive midfield in a Cork type role. Also not convinced Pochettino rates Fonte and Hooiveld doesn't fill me with joy when he plays.
