I wonder what the law is in this country about reporting something you overheard...doesn't sound illegal to me. Interesting about Osvaldo and Southampton though. Someone should tell Nicola he is dealing with a bunch of amateurs.

Quick question, out of the three "big" names we have been linked to (Damiao, Wanyama and Banega) who would you want most?

For me it's Banega >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Wanyama > Damiao

All would be good signings, but I think Banega is just different class atm

Banega probably the most exciting technically in terms of his style and current ability.

Wanyama has huge potential though, and has already impressed me. He'll give us some good steel, which we have needed at times.

I'd love to get Wanyama or Banega. Damiao is more of a risk, personally. I don't see that going anywhere.

Banega (slightly) > Wanyama >>>>>>>>>>>>> Damiao. I still want Damiao, I'm just (as everyone now knows) nowhere near as sold on him as a lot of people. The other two, I very much am.

I'm far more excited about Wanyama than I am about anyone else. You'll see. You'll all see.

I like Wanyama, but I find it hard to judge just how good he really is. Yes he was brilliant against Barca over the 2 games, and also impressed against Juve, but I think it's hard to tell how good a player is with such a small sample size no matter the opposition.

Banega has been consistantly good against better opposition than Wanyama faces in the SPL for a longer period, hence why I think he is in a different class atm. I could be completely wrong and Wanyama is just as good, if not better, just don't like to form a solid opinion on a player based on a handful of games.

Some people think Banega's a bad egg cause he likes a drink - he's got no history of being disruptive or a bad influence like Osvaldo, he just likes the nightlife, like a less mental Boruc.

Wanyama and Banega I rate about the same, each are very good players for their positions. Damiao would be behind them two by some way due to the average goal scoring in a very poor league.

Exactly nothing wrong with how is off the field due to his ability on the pitch.

It's strang reading through recent comments in that the one player we are least excited about is by far the most expensive and arguably the most sort after...someone has got it wrong?

It makes sense. Strikers always tend to cost a lot more, Wanyama's price is several million below Damiao because he's so unproven. I must say though, I have absolutely no idea why the rumoured price for Banega is so low.

End of next season (June 2015), same as Wanyama so not too soon. Damiao is contracted until 2017 which could be another reason for price inflation.

Sounds like Al Fayed's selling Fulham.

No idea why I put that on this thread but whatever.
