I hope it isn't a hoax. If that is entirely genuine, then that kid needs to stay alive and make sure his voice is heard above the noise. There's an awful lot of common sense in his words and his logical reasoning is crystal clear. He displays a sage mentality yet is only 12. Yep, he's very impressive.

from my basic arabic studies, the translations are accurate, and he's not parroting talking point memos. He's utilizing lucid free flow thought in his responses. Now if only the rest of the USA was this educated on our own issues.

Sounds good.

Yep, I went to Youtube for the very purpose to check out the responses. Seems genuine. I'd be very surprised if we don't hear more of him.

I once owned an Audi. It wasn't my favourite car. My brother once owned a BMW. It was not his favourite car either. I tend to find that cars have two too many wheels. They make useful things as vans though. ;)

I didn't know you were an organ donor!?

Yep, except that I don't. I would gladly if my time comes though. ;)

I'm possibly the worst kind of motorcyclist too. I'm not ill-mannered on the road, nor do I flaunt the power and speed of my bike, but I would rather everyone, who are able to, rode bikes and scooters, simply because there would be far less traffic jams and hence less pollution. :)

The World governments have been asking the question, how do we reduce pollution without cramping people's styles and the answer has been staring them in the face all along. ;)

Apparently there's a trialist named Bird playing for Pompey tonight, I hope we sign him just for chant possibilities:

"Bird, Bird, Bird, Bird is the word, a-well-a Bird, Bird Bird, Bird is the world"

"Haven't you heard about the word? Well everybody knows that the Bird is the word"

Etc, etc

Well, that's certainly off topic...

I wasn't sure if Sotton was referring to women (in which case I feel compelled to point out my sig) or suggesting that the air pollution in Portsmouth is so horrendous that no avian creatures are able to live there.

Not sure a Robbie Williams song is particularly relevant...

"British public wrong about nearly everything."

So funny. Everyone needs to see this, and then stop complaining about **** they don't have a clue about (and most importantly stop supporting bloody UKIP).

That was a good read, Joe. You're scintillating on topics this evening. The stand out paragraph for me was:

We need to see three things happen. First, politicians need to be better at talking about the real state of affairs of the country, rather than spinning the numbers. Secondly, the media has to try and genuinely illuminate issues, rather than use statistics to sensationalise. And finally we need better teaching of statistical literacy in schools, so that people get more comfortable in understanding evidence.

Truthfully, I was genuinely surprised by how many people have a warped sense of what is true and what is not. I can't say that I would have been accurate with every question, but I think I would have been far more accurate than some of the answers. Also, bear in mind that it is easy to condemn a whole swathe of population for being ignorant of truth, when in actual fact, many people may have badly answered a single question, yet answered the rest with commendable accuracy. There is no significant bunch of totally ignorant citizens out there. Well, there may be. :)
