Wow. Sounds very good value if you look at some of the fees that are being slung around!!

What's the catch??

I would imagine all the add ons are structured in such a way that they'll be easily met e.g. x amount after first goal, x amount after first premier league appearence etc and so give Birmingham a reasonably steady income over the next few months.

Evening all, with Vaughan, C Martin and Jackson gone I reckon CH will defo bring in another forward possibly Hooper. McNasty has said there will be 5 - 6 additions so I reckon an attacking CM and defensive cover after that.

Oh and possibly a new No.1 if Ruddy has 'a blonde moment' and decides to leave for Chelski <doh>

Very happy with Redmond! I've already bemoaned or lack of pace on here so he fits the bill perfectly. And for around £3mil including add ons, that's a complete steal! Him and Pilks will be a good little battle to retain that left wing!

Next up you'd hope would be a stiker as we only have 3 at then moment. Then, if the Toivonen deal doesn't go through, another CM/CAM. Then it's what ever needs strengthening from there. Very happy with the deals done so far, lets hope CH can keep it up!

I do think he will be eased into the starting eleven. I would be surprised if he played over 25 games for us next season, I think he will start to really become a key player a year or two down the line. I hope he does manage more but I think inconsistency could be a slight issue with him this coming season. Nothing against him but it's rare to see a 19 year old have a consistent season in the top flight. I still think he is a future England winger and could be our next Huckerby in the way he gets the crowd to his feet when he gets the ball.

Redmond is a brilliant buy, both in terms of quality and value of money.
I'm confident Hooper will arrive, and assuming we hang on to Holt, I think that will be it for strikers.
We definitely need a left back, and beyond that it's probably a couple of central midfielders - one defensive, one attacking.

According to Wikipedia he hasn't played a competitive game since 2008.

To be honest, I don't think it's a bad move, especially after last season you can't really doubt Hughton bringing in another. As well as that it will enable Rudd to get a whole season under his belt which I think is very much needed for him. Hopefully have a similar effect as Paul Crichton did when he signed. I remember he used to drill Robert Green along with the goalkeeping coach when he was at Norwich. No surprise he is goalkeeping coach at Huddersfield at the minute.
