I suppose i'm being impatient. I can't wait for us to sign a world class striker and see what we can do. Since Henry (excluding RVPs season and a half), we haven't had a top striker for ages. I'm positive that it would make us feared once more in the Premiership and give everyone a big boast in the team. One thing is for sure, whoever comes in, would get plenty of service from our midfield and wide men.
Only player we're linked with today is Gareth Barry

Soo far this window we have
1. Had bids for Lars Bender and Grenier rejected.
2. Still not signed Higuain
3. Signed an young French striker on a free transfer.
Now we are being linked to Gareth Barry

We have £70m and we have rumours of bloomin Gareth Barry. You'd think the papers would be more creative and link us to more illustrious names!
I hope you are right but remember we did try and buy him back in 2009 - so there could be some truth in it.
I would quite literally cry if this became reality.
Seriously though, can we PLEASE make some transfers early. It would be nice if they had time to settle before the 1st games of the season.

Surely you aren't haggling over a few million. If true (IF) there will be riots at your first home game if this doesn't happen over a relatively small amount.
