Biggus and his supposed Aberdonian granny, Dev who used to peel spuds when he was a navvy. ST, vegetarian ****..........................................need I go on? In fact that's probably the sort of tray that ST's carer brings along for him at supper time.
 
I use my Aberdonian maw's recipe.

Lorne sausage is the only meat I use in it - chopped into wee bits, sliced tatties and carrots in it.

Maybe a bit of dumpling if it's available but that's it.


Thats how i make it but i use slice instead of this Lorne sausage thing you are on about.. <ok>

Sounds like a cousin of the English bubble n squeak . leftover cabbage spuds and carrots mixed up into a rough mash then fry it in butter with a slice of left over roast Beef from the day before.
My mum wold put a fried egg on top and even beans as a kid....

I like my beetroot circular. Well, not exactly symmetrically circular but a close approximation given the ovality issue encountered.
