She considers herself British, so that settles it. She played tennis for GB in the Olympics, so she obviously qualifies as British. Remember you can claim your grandparents nationality.

That's exactly it, and she is a lot more British than Lennox Lewis, Greg Rusedski, Kevin Pieterson, Robin Smith etc the list goes on and on...The Aussies are only claiming her because they are pretty **** at most sports right now!...:emoticon-0116-evilg

Paul di Resta has been excluded from the results of F1 qualifying for tomorrow's British Grand Prix, as his car was found to be underweight by 1.5kg. He will start from last.

Furthermore to the nationality thing, how un-Scottish does the name di Resta sound?

And further-furthermore, I was born in England but do not consider myself to be English.

Ahhh the Di Resta's are one of the ancient clans of Scotland along with the Macdonalds and McLeods, etc.

Talking of which, anyone ever play the game Braveheart on the PC? That was a good, if slightly complicated, game.

He's related to the Franchitti's - another Italian-Scottish name. Shame for him, but perhaps he can talk to the other drivers on the way to the back to the grid, boring them to sleep. He'd be in the lead by the time they got to Abbey.....

Wonder if he's done it past two races, considering he's started 17th in both, and come through to finish 9th and 7th...
