Echo reporting that we are willing to let Shelvey go for £6m+, Spearing for £3m and PSV are interested in a loan move for Assaidi.

If we can shift all 3, we should be looking at raising another £10m in player sales <ok>

Probably about £60k in wages too
 
Liverpool and Sporting Lisbon are still locked in negotiations for Tiago Ilori.
Managing director Ian Ayre had hoped to have concluded a deal by now for the 20-year-old but a transfer fee still hasn't been agreed.Talks between both clubs are ongoing and Liverpool are still hopeful of concluding a deal.

Meanwhile, claims that Liverpool are interested in signing Barcelona forward Gerard Deulofeu have been confirmed as "accurate".

I read that it was for a loan deal? As much I would love to sign Deulofeu, I don't understand the point of a loan?

Ilori is away at the u20 I believe? Once he comes back, I expect that deal to be wrapped up.

Barca don't want to sell and he would be pointless having him for 1 season on loan.
 
not sure if its only a loan deal Jimmy.

as long as there is an option to buy if it is a loan deal, maybe worth while.

also would they use the word signing for a loan deal?, be easier to say interested in loaning so and so surely.

I'd love us to get Deulofeu but I'd agree that loan doesn't make much sense unless there is a agreed fee to buy should he prove successful here.

If we could sign him permanently, then it would be brilliant. Possibly the best talent coming out of Barca at the moment IMO (after Thiago).
 
I know I'm getting old and I'm easily confused, but how come we've already signed four players when the transfer window isn't open yet?
 
technically we havent Saint not until 1st July when transfer window opens then the paperwork can officially be done, we have done the deals in principal but wont be legal until window opens.

Yeah, well this was my understanding, but everyone talks about them as though they're done deals and legal and no-one seems to take any notice of the official window.

I'm surprised we're doing all the photos and squad numbers etc before July 1st with these signings. Thought you wait until it's all official before unveiling.
 
It's just league ratification needed, they can't turn it down (apart from very complex third party ownership stuff I think).

Apparently Mkhitaryan is in England, and Shaktar are negotiating a fee with us.

We're offering 23M, they want 30m (euros).

Only to be bumped back down when Reina, Skrtel, Coates, Spearing, Shelvey, Assaidi, Downing and Suarez leave.
