I know people are getting tired of talking about JB, but Sky Sports News football rumours reported this morning that Norwich have offered £1.5mill for him
highly highly doubt that. the main reason being it is public knowledge the guy's available on a free. who in their right mind would then offer cash for him ?
According to the Mirror, Jimmys plea to Norwich City to come and get him! as are the fans, GO AND GET HIM!
Yeah good thinking, I was gonna ask you to do it anyways like! So you think he's gonna go? I read in HDM yesterday he doesn't even have an agent, so he could just stay put and be a greedy b*****d
I think that one major thing that his trip to Ipswich has taught him, is that he definitely doesn't want to be back in Hull, I now think he's far more likely to be flexible to make deal happen so he can carry on hanging out in that pub he bought his Dad.
He got Ipswich's player of the season, and he only played 17 games for them! Pretty impressive, i would love him to play for us again, but he just wont take the pay cut, as wouldnt anyone else in the real world!
i'd still be surprised but this bullard to norwich rumour does seem to be gathering pace and is in a number of sources. ipswich fans would love that, probably feel a tad embarrassed awarding him their player of the year after 17 games only for him to head off to their biggest rivals. if we were to get £1.5m for him we'd be laughing.
£15k a week is about £750k a year. Bullard has 2 years left on his contract. Norwich to offer him £30k a week?
Was in today's Sun as well. They are generally awful with their Championship/lower PL transfer rumours, but if the Mirror are reporting it and SSN have enough of a foundation to mention it, something could be brewing. We would never get £1.5m though. Sounds more like what his annual wage would be
I could see us getting a fee in this region, his form at Ipswich has increased his worth so to speak, Ipswich want him (or did until he has said he would go to Norwich) and Jewel wants him, Norwich are apparently keen, as are QPR, Wigan and possibly Blackburn. £1.5 mill for us, plus a £1.5m sign on fee (to supplement a £30k pw wage)from his new club makes him a reasonable price for his ability
Exactly what I was thinking in a way, the 1.5 mil could be a way of balancing budgets. Say they have a wage cap of 30k p/w, and only so much to offer as a signing on fee, they could use 1.5 mil of their transfer budget to give to us, with which we will make up the difference in the wage for what he has left with us. Jimmy still gets all his 45k p/w as if he'd stayed with us and a move to a new club in the prem, we get rid of an expensive luxury with broken knees which we can't afford free of charge, everyones a winner!
