Just give it time Norfolkbhoy, the Daily fail and the others will have linked us with with every registed player in europe, most of asia and a small orangutan called sebastian in a zoo in minsk before the end of the window and then Bruce will strike!
Just seen that we're looking for offers of around £5M for Pilks, though suspect it's just a rumour on 'Tribal football' - http://www.tribalfootball.com/artic...ton-3965322?utm_source=main_feed#.UcmqvZwRkw0
Think that's probably bollocks TBH, why would any team LOAN out a soon to be 33 year old ? Doesn't make sense. Having said that IF Hooper was to come the other way I would defo go for that personally
Could be that no one would offer Holt more in wages or a 2 year contract at his age, but it may be viewed by CH as the ideal way to get Hooper whilst covering Holts wages. Don't think it'll happen but I could see some logic in it. I'd rather have both though!
Holt is a far more valuable player for us than any other team. He is club captain, He has played at this level for 2 years now, knows how to score goals and ruffle the defenders feathers and would be a great player to play with as a younger striker coming into the Premier League. I think he'll see out his contract, then head north, whether for more football or just to be with his family. He's been huge for us and we have been huge for him. You'd hope he'd like to make it last that bit longer.
I still just see him as the man who will clear the defenders out if the way to allow Van Dogsbollox to score just ask Chico
No He's a foreign exchange student who didn't like blackcurrent tango quite as much as the other flavours, he can play a bit though! Bah!
oh dear, oh dear. how to insult our players and make them wish to be somewhere else. pillock is not a strong enough word for you.
Haha, do the players actually read this forum then?? Bit annoying having to traul through 55 pages of this to get any transfer gossip.
Defo, although slightly dissapointed we can't get more for vaughan compared to the values being banded around for charlie austin, jordan rhodes etc. vaughan scored well last season in the championship. i suspect his injury record might be a factor in the price. If butterfield is going then it looks likely we'll get an attacking midfielder
Kone will only 'entertain' going to Everton evidently. Is that so, well I never wanted him here in the first place, if we had spent anywhere near 5 mill on a twenty-nine year old average striker like him I would not have been best pleased. http://www.everton.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=322856
as i said at the time it was first reported, i very much doubt we ever made a move for kone. he doesn't fit the clubs transfer model at all. had he been available for £2.5m then i imagine he would have been a viable target but not at the reported £6.5m. i still expect we are waiting on the hooper situation to develop further before making our move. we are also waiting on toivonen and redmond to make decisions (both are on holiday as i type this).
