NORWICH City will play host to Panathinaikos in their final warm-up game for the 2013-14 campaign, with the Canaries taking on the Greek giants on Saturday, August 10 at Carrow Road (3pm).

like last season (ajax, parma from memory), we've some decent games arranged - I make that Real sociedad, Braga, Brighton and Panathaniakos plus the 3 games in the US against MLS/mexican opposition.

Apparently Everton want Honda, who the BBC reckon isn't actually out of contract until January, and will cost £5mil or so now.

He'd be an awesome signing for that money, would love to see him in the PJ

I would love us to be interested in him and even at £5m I think it would be good business.

Just seen there's no mention of Echiejile on the main thread, has that been missed? Was reported somewhere early last week I believe. LB for Nigeria, much more of a wing back than Garrido is which I think would fit our system nicely. If he was cheap, I'd also love us to take a punt on that Musa chap they've got.

Although Swansea's Europa league football will count in their favour.

Swansea have Routledge and Lamah for the left wing, Hernandez and Dyer for the right, so he'd join their squad as 5th choice. If he joins us, he'll have Snodgrass and Pilks ahead of him, but Bennett might well slip below him in the pecking order. As third choice winger, he'd undoubtedly get game time with us.

Lamah is an 18-month loan, and I don't think he's going to stay because he's not first choice at Swansea. Personally given the chance I'd play hernandez behind Michu so that's them down to 2 main wingers and 1.5 spare wingers. Think Redmond is better or thereabouts than Lamah anyway, and a very similar player.

i think the draw of european football might edge it swansea's way (assuming nobody else comes in) but we aren't out of contention - redmond had high praise for hughton giving his career the kick start so its a difficult one to judge. it really is down to personal preference - there's little to choose between packages or clubs i imagine.

other factors that could swing it for us
- he'll know ryan bennett from U21 squads
- he knows not only hughton but dave watson from their Brum days
- a bigger ground (although swans have plans to extend the liberty)

- the fishing is good, ask jonny howson
really we are clutching at straws...!

Hull have signed Curtis Davies on a 3 year deal. good signing for them. most probably proof that our interest in him was only in January

With the improvement of turner and R Bennett, I don't feel that he would have added to the options at CB. Rusty can also play there - IMO, I think he's a better player there, as he reads the game so well. I would like to see an FB come in who can play either RB or LB as Whittaker can do.

JR, I agree about the CB position and this has been discussed on here.

I would love it if we got Redmond. Easily worth towards £5 million last year and would still cost around the same if Birmingham were not going through financial problems.

Swansea have European football next year, but we have Hughton, someone who Redmond holds in very high regard after kickstarting his career for Birmingham. It's a tight one, we'll have to see which way this goes.

I hope the rumours about Echiejile (sic) are true. He's really impressed me during the Confeds. Certainly a lot better than Ambrose on the right - my goodness he is ****!

Now that Hull have signed Curtis Davis and arei in the hunt for Hooper does anyone else want to nip down to the bookies to place money on them going for any of our other January targets? Perhaps they'll try to buy RvW from us on July 1?

Can someone leak news to Steve Bruce that we were really interested in signing Titus Bramble, Bosingwa and Kieron Dyer in January?

I saw on Ian Abraham Twitter account earlier that there is a rumour of Holt going to Celtic on loan for a year? Has anyone heard anything or is it just a rumour, I suppose he might be used in exchange for Hooper, I personally wouldn't advise it as I think we will need Holt here even if Hooper came.
