No. I wouldn't be surprised if we signed another one, then shifted one maybe two out. I said at the end if the season that one CB was a must and two would be good.
Real Madrid have supposedly made a bid for Bale. It is a cash plus player deal. Unknown sum + Di Maria.
I'm going to stick my neck out on this one and say I think Bale will give spurs one more year. Top four won't be enough, though, I think he'll want to see a proper challenge for top spot. Which they might get, it's easy to forget that they started the season badly when AVB was learning the ropes. There's a lot of change at the top next year.
I bet there's a good chance Di Maria could turn Spurs down even if it gets that far.
I wouldn't be surprised if we announced one or two signings of free agents on 1st July. We never announce the deal until it is complete, so 1st July seems the date when they are likely to be officially announced. Personally I would rather see a free agent sign for CM cover, like Raul Baena, providing cover and competition and spend the £12m on a more vital area or two, Redmond and a striker?
