This is where CBK has a valid point , people WILL buy the latest top no matter what it looks like , so the manufacturers don't care , the bigger ones at least .

I won't be buying one of those , but will wait and see the final article , I live in hope .........

But it would take so little effort to just design a kit that doesn't look like crap. Like Mr. Nice said, all it takes is someone to walk into a meeting and point out it looks terrible. They do sell more if the kit looks good. I'm not saying a Pompey fan is going to buy a Saints jersey because it looks good or anything, but there are plenty of people like myself who won't buy this kit who otherwise might.

There's no denying Adidas, Nike, etc. are in the fashion industry. And it's not like they follow the same "suck it up and buy it" philosophy in everything they do. If you are a top 10 tennis player of golfer, they'll design something for you. One for each major if you want, even.

I don't think it's indifference. I think that unbelievably someone at Adidas thinks this looks good. So good, that they think this can be a new branding for them. Adidas, Home of the Water Wings kits.

I agree with you as much as I won't buy it coz it looks crap even though I'm a saints fan .

I honestly believe though , that the Teams marketing people / Manufacturers have lost the plot .

Them to MR X " Mr x We see Saints in Red & White & GOLD " ! Mr X " WOW yes , that's the saints " ..................

Think you have a positive outlook on this & I have a negative one .

I don't like the gold (I mean, why?) but I do think the club badge looks better in just one colour.

The kit I could live with if the shorts were black and the socks were white. Think it would look smarter and also set us apart from other all red teams - Lpool, Cardiff etc. I'm not too fussed about the stripes as I think that non-striped kits are classier. What is particularly wrong is that it's a template and we are sharing a kit variation with Swansea, Bristol City, Hull (?), Hearts and probably many more.

The pin stripes really grew on me. I think it actually looked like a classy kit, even though it seemed to be far from my beloved stripes. But the new one is just so meh. Its only been made worse by the prolonged build up to the release.

And the much, much, much, much, much better fan mock-ups made.

Ahhhh I loved the pinstripes. I'll just wear that for another season, no worries. And then another season when the stripes come back.
