Just cos a few players have been linked away doesn't mean we want to sell, there just fools to believe it.

Why would we want to sell our only Left winger who's been a decent player for us only for 5mil is beyond me! That is lazy journalism.

As clubs go I think we are one if the few who really don't need to sell our best players. No one will offer what they're worth to us and we have no debts and decent funds.
We also have no player in stupid wages we need to get off our books or a high wage bill in general that needs trimming like say Villa.

Exactly right. Improve where we can, just that, nothing else. The only other consideration is whether there are any players actually wanting out. Vaughan is said to be in that category. Could be that Butterfield is too (maybe frustrated at being down the pecking order and likely to be further down if we do manage to strengthen midfield). <ok>

2 bids from premier league clubs accepted for Nathan Redmond.

So that's us out of the running unless he had a terrific relationship with CH and he would rather work with a manager he knows and likes. I can't see us offering better personal terms than other PL clubs even on the assumption that we are one of the two clubs quoted.

We probably can't match a lot of other clubs, but he's more likely to get game time playing for us. It all boils down to whether he wants to take a pay cut and be playing football or whether he's happy to get a bit more money but spend all his time sitting on the bench.

Suspect there wouldn't be too much difference in the financial package being offered to Redmond - ourselves and Swansea tend to be operating along similar lines. Might come down to whether his knowledge of Hughton is a plus or a minus.

Although Swansea's Europa league football will count in their favour.

Swansea have Routledge and Lamah for the left wing, Hernandez and Dyer for the right, so he'd join their squad as 5th choice. If he joins us, he'll have Snodgrass and Pilks ahead of him, but Bennett might well slip below him in the pecking order. As third choice winger, he'd undoubtedly get game time with us.

I think whoever signs Wilfred Bony will be signing a serious player. If Swansea can add him and a couple of others i think they could be heading for the top 8 next season.

Apparently Everton want Honda, who the BBC reckon isn't actually out of contract until January, and will cost £5mil or so now.

He'd be an awesome signing for that money, would love to see him in the PJ
