Not heard that, no. Only thing I have heard was that the kit release was planned for Monday 1st July.

Training kit has already arrived at club shops, will be closed some time next week to deck them out with all the new Adidas stuff.

I'm not sure that's true. The better your team is the lower the number of players who will improve it. Out of those players who would improve our team there's a limited number who are available at a reasonable price. Having said that, I don't mind us going for this type of player in midfield and possibly up front because we've generally got good enough players there already.

What people on Twitter thinks doesn't bother me either but we've had at least one and possibly 3 players turn down moves in the last few days. Reputation matters and if guys like Wanyama, Osvaldo and Nainggolan turn us down publicly it certainly won't make other players more likely to join us. We're being linked with players who people on this forum (who are Southampton fans, meaning they generally have a higher opinion of the club than most) think we're unlikely to get and I'm not sure whether that's a good thing or a waste of effort. I also think "discussing wages" might be overstating what's happening. With Osvaldo and Nainggolan it seems more likely to me they're listening to our offer (because there's no real reason not to) and saying no because they want to go to a bigger club.

We got turned down by Coutinho...didn't stop Lovren, doesn't appear to have stopped Wanyama. In the football food chain, there will always be players who would rather be somewhere else.

In other news Rachel Hammond (Dean's wife) has started to 'follow' Reading on Twitter. Hint maybe?

Also Victor Wanyama has tweeted a few Saints fans names in one tweet, in what was a conversation between fans about him possibly signing for us...

True. The difference is that Coutinho had a concrete offer from Liverpool. Osvaldo and Nainggolan don't appear to have received any other offers so they're choosing a possible offer from another club over the definite option of coming here. Lovren might well have gone to Liverpool if they'd had a bid accepted.

Hmmm. £6.5m up front, potentially as much as £9m after add-ons.

Three-year deal and Liverpool get 35% apparently.

Damn, I like Tom Ince a lot. Especially as the money rumoured for Bueno is around that...
