All the great Saint " " threads deserve a good old fashioned argument.

Is wanting to see the PMs the Internet forum equivalent of going outside to watch the fight in the pub car park?

Unfortunately I've not had a PM back so I think it'd be more like me out there staggering about trying to start fights with lamp posts and letter boxes.

Why not just play a 4-3-1-2/4-1-3-2/4-1-2-1-2 kind of shape? We have fullbacks with speed who can bring it up the flanks, so maybe we don't need wingers. And we don't really have any wingers anyway.

VIC LEAVES

CELTIC last night agreed a record-breaking £10million-plus fee with Southampton for Victor Wanyama.

As exclusively revealed in SunSport this week, Saints are in pole position to land the Kenyan powerhouse.

We can confirm Celtic have officially granted Wanyama, 21, permission to talk to the Premier League side.

Wanyama admitted last night that he is weighing up a megabucks move — with just personal terms to be thrashed out.

He said: “Yes, my club has agreed terms with Southampton, but I will also have to agree to terms before I consider myself a Saint. The deal is far from being complete.”

Arsenal, Cardiff, Stoke, Galatasaray and Inter Milan are among several clubs also interested in the Hoops’ prized asset.

But Celtic chiefs see no reason why the Saints deal won’t be completed.

Wanyama has made no secret of his desire to quit Parkhead having rejected the offer of an improved contract to stay.

SunSport understands Celtic will be stunned if the midfielder stalls on moving to St Mary’s.

Crikey which Scottish paper is that? They same pretty sure the deal is done with that headline.

Am I the only one that is worried that none of the big teams have come in at this price? Everyone knows Arsenal need an enforcer in the middle of the park. I don't really watch football outside the league saints are in and trust the fact that so many think this would be an amazing signing, but what have Arsenal's scouting team seen that we haven't?

Could just be a promise of regular football. Also with Arsenal's pretty tight wage structure there's a good chance we can offer more money than them.

Arsenal's currently trying to nail down other deals, from the sounds. They could certainly use him, and would perhaps go after him if they were certain of tying down their other targets, but may not want to commit 10m without knowing how much they'll have to spend elsewhere.

Well we haven't got a Three Cheers for Ramirez video this year... will this do?

True and based on nothing but conjecture because it could plausibly be Wengers last season he may go for players who will go into a top 4 side straight away.
£10m or £12.5m is a lot out of any transfer pot for a 21yr old with modest top level experience. Arsenal don't have the luxury of failing to win too many games like Saints will.
