According to the Echo, Osvaldo is giving us the swerve....wow, that astonished me!! Was never going to happen.

Certainly hope that it doesn't happen. A mercurial 20 year old is one thing; put them in the right environment, and they might change. When the player is 27 and is still an irrepressible twat, they are always going to be that.

I'm not justifying or backing this at all as I know little about him, but to play devils advocate, would we not love an irresponsible twat that scored 20 goals for us and had a little nastiness? Someone that opposition fans could really hate? Sometimes I think we are too nice and miss a little spark. Obviously the counter to this is the disruption and damage it causes in the dressing room, which I know is priceless.

I've got to admit I do find myself agreeing with this. Before yesterday I hated the idea, but reading the Roma thread on him I posted earlier, I started thinking of how exciting it'd be to have a player like that. Never mind, eh?

I agree. Plus, I think Poch is the right sort of manager to keep him in check. I don't think Adkins or Pardew would cope too well with such a personality, however, Poch is a much harder man and he certainly wouldn't take any s**t from players.

I don't mind an irresponsible twat that goes after opponents, referees, fellow patrons at the bar, or inanimate objects, but I do draw the line at teammates. We have a young squad; a player who clearly does not give one **** about the team or his teammates, scores his goals and then gets shipped off as soon as everyone tires of his antics is one who'll do more harm than good, long-term.

St. Pete beach, Clearwater area. They do, but her dad only has his wireless dongle gimmick for work which we can't use and there's citywide wifi which you pay a subscription for, but it's pretty ****ty. Also I'm not taking my laptop this summer as it was way too much to carry around last year. I'll check in on the BBC every now and again if we're out and about but I'm not trawling Tribalfootball for rumours!

Clearwater & St Petes are utterly gorgeous.

Forget the Osvaldo rumours. Apparently we're in for someone called Simone Zaza. Anyone know anything about this or about him?

After a quick glance on the web, it seems he spent last season on loan at Ascoli in Serie B - scored 18 goals in 35 matches. His parent club is Serie A side, Sampdoria.

Got my Crewe side to the Prem in FM. This is getting silly...we are seriously targeting every player that I've ever signed in that game.

Seen Zaza once this year and he looked good, pretty sure I read recently that one of the Milan clubs want him? Would also think that he would stand a good chance of getting into Sampdoria's team pretty regularly next year

You're probably right... Just throwing one out there.

Radja Nainggolan

"Ho ricevuto una grossa offerta dal Southampton, la loro proposta è economicamente la più importante di tutte. Io però non gioco per soldi, la mia priorità è avere una carriera importante. Ma non avrei problemi a trasferirmi in Inghilterra. E' ancora tutto aperto, vedremo", ha affermato Nainggolan, parole che vi riportiamo da Goal.com.

Heh, does say something about the shifting economics of the game that we're apparently able to offer higher wages than Roma or Inter...and yet, unless something has changed dramatically, we're still offering wages on the lower end of the scale among PL teams.

What did you do, translate it from the English into Italian then..? ;) To save people the bother of using Google Translate, I did it myself:

"I received a great offer from Southampton, their proposal is economically the most important of all. But I do not play for money, my priority is to have a major career. But I have no problem to move to England. It's still wide open, we will see," said Nainggolan... words that we present to Goal.com.
