He mentions they're cash strapped and then wonders why his club accepts an offer that's below his value. Twonk.

Buyers market pure and simple. It will be Burnley fans next when we steal Austin from them. :emoticon-0116-evilg <whistle>

What do clubs and fans think when the player enters there final year and wants out of the club ffs.? <doh>

It certainly came back on Leicester after the amazing over-confidence of the beginning of last season on this forum.

Won't find any of that from me. Actually, you'd do well to find a handful of us who were anywhere near confident of promotion last season.

Anyways, at the risk of highjacking this thread, I shall leave you to it...

<sorry>

Aw tickles, I really hope the arrogance you show comes back to bite you on the bum <ok>

Not arrogance at all. ;) Just throwing back to you with interest. :emoticon-0116-evilg So glad that we got out of the championship.

I am really looking forward to watching the championship as it will be harder than ever. I can see only 5 clubs who can can safely say will not bother the top 6 positions. The rest all have a chance imo. Peterboro could even have there relegated points record broken next season as well.

I agree with that. I looked at the fixtures and thought - Jeez, I'm glad we're not in there anymore. It so difficult with nearly all the teams being of a good, equal standard.

Fair point. Who are the 5 clubs?
I imagine next season will be even closer, and even tougher than this season. This season was very competitive and that was with the three relegated clubs not doing much! I can't see Wigan, Reading, and QPR doing as badly as them!

Sadly I think Barnsley will have a torrid time next season, I have good friends that support them but they will have a job staying up next year.Having said that they seem to scrap out enough results to keep up every year so they could do OK but promotion is way beyond them

So according to our good friend from brummie land - 4 or 5 (can't remember which he said among all that rubbish) clubs are after Davies. I am presuming no other club offered the sum this fan thinks Davies is worth, so once again we have fans of a selling club over-hyping and over-valuing a player.

And to Jack Lesta fan - we didn't pee off Wigan when we signed him this week (as Wigan fans are realistic), or the Turkish fans if we do sign McGregor (though funnily we have/or he has pissed off Rangers fans, but why would he have stayed at a 3rd division Scottish side - not exactly going to help your chances of playing International football in that division,)

Barnsley just signed Dale Jennings from Bayern Munich for £250k, he could be the bargain of the season.

I'm not so sure they will you know. They showed last season that they can avoid the drop and they won't be losing any of their first team. They've brought in Jennings and O'Grady, the former being a bit of a marquee signing for them. They've been linked to Zoumana Bakayogo from Tranmere, so they're getting the players in. I'd be surprised to see them in the bottom 3 next season (Sheffield Wednesday, Yeovil and Blackpool if they lose their squad).
