Well in that case you could say the entire Uruguayan team was poor so you should question whether they are going to change their entire XI.

They only lost 2-1 to the best team in the world. Calm down.

Haha I'm sorry for unleashing my demonic fury, I will try to calm myself.

2-1 wasn't at all reflective of the balance of play though, in reality Spain completely dominated them but took their foot off the gas and allowed a late consolation goal (a great goal though) to make the game seem closer than it was.

Gaston didn't do anything to earn his place in the team against Nigeria and I wouldn't be surprised to see them go with a different formation and different personnel to start the next game, but considering he was the supposed playmaker in the side, hard for him to do anything when he touched the ball 20 times and Spain had 75%+ possession. They had to change system to get some vague foothold in the game and Gaston had to be sacrificed to facilitate that, he was no worse than anyone else in the side.

Typical "knocker" singling a player out. As Tom and others said, your statement could easily have said something along the lines of hoping Uruguay perform better, giving Gaston the chance to do the same.... but no, let's go with the inflammatory one.
 
Yep, and hopefully Gaston will get a bit more space to ping some passes against a team a bit more evenly matched to his own. And when it's Suarez/Cavani/Forlan at the other end you can be pretty confident that they will take advantage.
 
Re Gaston.

Just goes to show how we all see things differently, that's what makes football such a brilliant topic of conversation and one that offers debate.

Anyway, i'm with everyone that wishes Uruguay to do well tonight. And I for one, hope Gaston gets a chance to showcase his talents.
