For a red card to be given for denying a clear goalscoring opportunity, the attacker must have been able to reach the ball and have a clear chance to score. Not so in this case.
Yeah but the referee obviously thinks the striker reached the ball first if he gave a foul! I'm not sure you understand me. I'm saying if the referee thought the striker had the ball for a split second and got clattered by the keeper from the side, who then made contact with the ball taking it to the defender it's a red as he's about to slot the ball in or be around the keeper. Not sure how good my explanation is but hopefully you understand what I mean.
