http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/sport/football/clubs/arsenal/article3796083.ece - Usually most reliable confirming it. You have to pay to see the article but the first para sums it up. Great deal. Now Fellani.
My only concern is that we **** it up by being overly slow and ponderous like we often are with these deals.
Once it's on the times and/or BBC the deal is usally done. So I think this is going to be done sooner rather than later. The only point is Real kept saying nothing will happen till they appoint a manager, which is yet to happen, yet this seems to have gone through. I hope we go for Fellani next and get it done before the end of the month. If we also shift Diaby, Gervinho, Park and bendtner (along with the already shifted Arsh, Squid and Denislon) while getting a young CB (papa at Schalke fc) as well as bring in Vela (personal bias) I would say that would be the perfect summer.
According to a survey in the media last week, the Guardian is the most accurate paper for getting transfer rumours correct
The guardian now say we've agreed terms with Higuain, and as others have mentioned, they are the most reliable source, with 33% accuracy. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/jun/20/arsenal-gonzalo-higuain-real-madrid
The latest rumours are we are after BOTH Higuaine and Rooney. Would be awesome but..How would that work?? back to a 4-4-1-1 or maybe a 4231.. I guess... -----------------------Sczezney----------------------- Sagna-----Mertesacker-------Koscielney------Monreal ---------------Arteta-------Wilshere------------------- ---Walcott------------Rooney--------------Carzorla--- -----------------------Higuain-------------------------- Bench: Giroud, Podolski, Vermalen, Gibbs ,Rosicky, Chamberlain, GK.
Looks like the Higuain story is very real and we are close to signing him. With the signing of Higuain, we would be nailed on top 3 and with one or two top signings, we could have a serious shout at challenging for some honours. The Rooney one looks like another Agent inspired smoke screen designed to get his future at Man U sorted. As for other rumours, nothing concrete seems to be floating about at the moment.
Heard somewhere that Arsenal want to get the deal completed before they leave for the tour. Also RM don't have a manager so this is holding up things with the fee still to be agreed.
I think Wenger is eager to get things rolling and for his main signing to get a proper pre-season. This can only bode well for Arsenal should this happen sooner rather than later. At last we have a World Class striker leading our front line. We've always had one and every successful Wenger side has one. No doubt in my mind that Higuain will get 15-20 goals minimum, having players like Cazorla, Wilshere, Walcott and Arteta lining him up.

Looks like Juve are playing a safety game and using this as some sort of contingency plan, incase the others fall through. I'm sure Tevez would jump at the chance of leaving Man City and Jovetic fancies a move to Juve. I think we are favourites on getting him.
I dont think juv have the money TBH, by all accounts they are only willing to pay less than 20 million and want to pay it in instalments, we can offer a higher fee and in one lump sum, far more appealing to the selling club. Never thought I would be talking about us having more financial muscle that juventus lol.
It's all a smoke screen by Juve. Real would definately go for a lump sum over a million installments, as Real are always looking to buy big most seasons. It's good to outmuscle a big team financially for a change!
TalkSHITE saying that Perez (Real Madrid president) has given the go-ahead for Higuain to move to us.
Juventus fans seem confident that they're getting Higuain, not us. Wouldn't be the first time that it looked like we'd wrapped things up, only for it not to happen. Remember that massive non-story about Ribery around 5 years ago?
Yeah as with Mata last year. I still think we can outbid Juventus in both fee and wages (and offer him a much more exciting league to be part of). If the club really want this they can make it happen. I just do wonder about our negotiationg ability these days. Fingers crossed.
