Higuain, Fellani would be ideal. I would add Papadopulos (or another young talented CB) and Vela. That would be a phenomenal summer especially if we also manage to get rid of Bendtner, Gervinho (I really dont rate him), Diaby (not to mention already dropping squid, arsh and denilson). Maybe Begovic/Reina (if pool get Mignolet) if we move flappy on.

Next years team can be

---------------------Begvovic/WOS-------------------

--Sagna/Jenk---Mert/Papa----Kos/TV----Gibbs/Mon

------------Fellani/Arteta------Wilshere/Ramsey----

-------------------Caz/Rosicky---------------------

---Theo/OX)/Vela-----Hig/Giroud-----------Pod/Vela/OXO

I love the idea that we're in for big attacking names but I really wish we'd address the defence first.
We need another top quality CB as well as a DF though I believe Wenger is looking for one flexible player who can play in both positions.
I hear Sagna has extended but he was average on occasions last season and top quality cover is needed, i'm not convinced Jenks is at the required level (yet).
So whilst I'd celebrate with the best of them if we can secure a Higuain or Fellaini, it was our defence that hurt us last season and improvements there should be a priority

Fellaini's best position is Defensive midfield and the position he prefers. That's surely where you'd use him? What's a DF?

DF is a **** up ! Of course I meant DM
And if we were to sign Fellaini I'm not convinced we'd use him as a DM, I reckon he is seen more of a box-to-box type, Platt in his heyday maybe ?

"Arsenal had the second best defensive record in the Premier League this season (compared to the eighth in 2011/12), and conceded just 14 on the road - the best in the division, and Arsenal's best away defensive record since 2003/04.

The Gunners kept 14 clean sheets throughout the Premier League campaign - nine of which came away from home. In fact the only goal Arsenal conceded on their travels since the middle of March was a penalty at West Brom, and they kept a clean sheet at Bayern Munich during that run."

True, what really harmed us last season was our bluntness in front of goal. It's a serious problem which should be addressed.

Valid stats but two points to note:
1. Individual errors were costlty and I saw plenty of other individual errors go unpunished
2. The final 8-10 weeks were defensively excellent and what contributes to those overall stats, prior to the Tottenham away game our standing in that league would have been far worse.

Regardless of stats and records I'd like to see us invest defensively

We made alot of individual errors but overall our defence was pretty decent last Season.

Our lack of sharpness up front REALLY costs us. For me an Arsene Wenger side without a TOP striker is just wrong. It's like an Italy side without a TOP centreback.

Giroud scored only 0.12% of the chances the was given. (or 1 in 8) if you compare that to Higuain who averages 33% (1 in three) its clear we would massively benefit from a quality goalscorer.
