Neither, the graphics processors are actually worse than their predecessors. I've always been a PC gamer anyway, so I'll be sticking to that. If I want to play a console, I just bring out the old Gamecube. Best console ever made in my opinion.
The cost of building a PC better than the new consoles is about £600-£700. I'd take and Xbox or Ps4 over that!
I'm not getting either. They cost way too much imo and I'd probably hardly play it at Uni as well, so it would be a waste of money. I might get my Nintendo 64 back out, Goldeneye 007 and FIFA 98, best console and games ever for me by far...
Yeah i was thinking the same regarding Uni but if i'm ever bored at 4am it provides some entertainment
Neither are out yet so I don't see how one has better games? Plus Halo, Fifa and elder scrolls are the best games on a console anyway and Halo's an xbox exclusive so...
Yep, PC is always my preferred choice. Costs a lot more admittedly but performance is vastly superior, and it's an open platform capable of being customised to do far more than a console. Never been a fan of closed platform convenience. Having said that though, the Megadrive was amazing - how much time did I waste on Sensi Soccer and Micro Machines?
But why spend the £400-500 when I can easily use my 360 or N64? They would easily keep me happy. If I wasn't going, I'd probably want to get the PS4, mainly because they don't have all these restrictions upon it and the Kinect spying on you.
I disagree about the games, TitanFall, Killer Instinct, Forza and Dead Rising look good to me. Killzone always promises so much, but never fully executes. Plus, Xbox Live is always better than PSN, so multi-plat games appeal to me on the Xbox more. I can't argue with the price however!
I wouldn't get one if you are going to Uni, Having just graduated I hardly used it to be honest. They only thing I used it for was FIFA drinking games and playing fifa with my pals. Might as well just take your 360, and re-evaluate after Fifa 14.
Xbox is more expensive and made specially for the American market, it's a waste of money over here. Games like Halo shouldn't even come into the equation when comparing the two, its just another arcade FPS of which there are many equally as good on both platforms that just look different with a different name. The differences for me are Gran Turismo which is a more realistic racing simulation than Forza, and FIFA has the FIWC on play station which is my favourite game mode. Most the other top games are cross platform so it doesn't make much difference on that front. Elder scrolls is ****e on console vs PC.
Don't get me started on PSN, it is the worst piece of **** Sony could have ever designed! The servers are something a primary school child could make. I've had both 360 and PS3 and to be fair, i've experienced great games on both but the PS4 has an edge to me as i originally thought i'd go back to Microsoft but the PS3 £350 asking price is a bargain, £80 cheaper than the Xbox One
£350 for PS4 and i'd probably get it bought for me, i'll take my PS3 and decide closer to the time, can't say no if i get it as a present I don't think i'd dare waste any of my Loan/Maintenance on a games console when i have a working one already
