Swansea have had a renaissance. They're favourites to be awarded the title but we're second favourites I believe. We need to maximise to the full any national publicity that can be garnered from our Premier league success - just like Swansea have.
This is good news. Will Leicester's ethnic diversity play a big part in it? I can see it being between us two, hopefully our heritage and regeneration projects will help us through.
I think they apply the term 'city' quite loosely, one of the bids was from East Kent, which isn't actually a city at all.
You're right, by 2017 Leicester will have missed out on promotion a good three times by then. And it was their season 3 years running too.
Problem with looking at odds for these is that they base them on the general opinion of that place. So Hull are always going to be outsiders.
No, what I meant was why have the bidders differentiated it being Swansea Bay rather than Swansea as a whole? I dont know the place - have only been there to watch us at the Vetch - but is it like saying 'oh, the bay area is nice so we'll submit that but the rest of Swansea is a ****hole".
Probably cos Swansea isn't that big - when did they change the name of the football club from town to city? - late 60's?
I really hope Leicester gets it, the whole city centre is improving massively already, that would really help polish the job. You northern barbarians can fook off, sure you don't mind another 10 years in your wattle and dorb houses <laugh >

Baroness Floella Benjamin? Do you get a title for presenting Blue Peter nowadays, I thought you just got a badge?
I think you'd be best taking your own advice actually. Well back in your trench. That'd be the one, didn't think it looked right
