How are us lower mid table or mid table teams meant to progress if teams like yourself think they can just cherry pick any player your clubs desire .
We also want to catch the teams above you .

I know what you mean. Over the last 10 years evertime Liverpool seems to be making progress some team with more money comes in and nicks are best players so I suppose Liverpool doing the same with players from the teams below us is equally frustraing for the teams involved. Sad truth is football clubs don't care about the fans of the teams they are buying the players from. They see a player that think will improve their team and do what they can to get that player.

Let them have Mig, I will lose no sleep whatsoever.

Why?

West Brom last season and it was not his only dodgy game, add in his lack of physical presence in the box at corners etc(e.g. Stoke away) then I think it puts it into perspective.

Westwood hopefully will stay and he will do an excellent job and give Jordan Pickford a bit of exposure untilwe get a new number2.

Pickford seems to have caught eyes all over, anyone seen him play much?

The ideal would be for him to develop and replace Westie in 2-3 years, I always think back to Alnwick, who was a very similar lad to Pickford in terms of reputation, but playing him too early in a struggling team seemed to **** him.

you talk the talk , but the fact is you will never probably win the prem again , so apart from picking up crumbs from what else is left , you are no better a club for our keeper than us , not going to change my opinion on liverpool, every bad experience with other fans ive had ,you lot top the bill , always living in the past ,if i wanted any club to get relegated it would be liverpool.

I did not come on here to argue with anyone. I simply came on here to get opinions on a player Liverpool have been linked with from the fans who know him best. My experience with Sunderland fans has generally been very good but thankfully I have not met any Sunderland fans like you. I would not try and change your opinion on Liverpool as you have obviously made your mind up based on a few bad experiences. Anyway despite what you say about Liverpool getting relegated I wish Sunderland and its decent fans all the best for the upcoming season and if Mignolet is sold i think PDC will use the money wisely

Yes history is a factor but their also other reasons. Liverpool despite not winning the league in 23 years are still one of the top 10 supported teams in Europe. Only United, Chelsea, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern have sold more shirts per year on average over last 5 years. There is more to being a big club than just what you have won in last 3 or 4 years. I am not saying Sunderland are a small club as i have utmost respect for the fans and the club in general and I was really glad the stayed up last year as the premier league is a better league with Sunderland and its fans in it

Seen him a few times on dvd, brought a couple into work for me, he's got something about him, bags of potential, i guess he's not in the england set up and ranked 13th in the world youths for nothing

Would be ideal to see a young lad come through the club and be there for years, hopefully we get to see him in the cup or summat next year <ok>

Nice reply <ale>

you need to extract the lump on your neck out of your anus, i have said before to liverpool fans you are a distant point in football history, a spent force and in recent times every thing bad about the racist side of football with constant defending of events surrounding your club.
We at sunderland are in general liked around the country where as liverpool are disliked by most everywhere.
Our keeper deserves to play in a better team than yours if he leaves, and if you are a football fan you should know he is one of the best in the prem , and for the record liverpool are **** on and off the pitch.
sorry to sit on the fence on this one

What do you think about Liverpool?

On a serious note, it's not like we've disappeared since last winning the league. You'd trade our achievements for Sunderland's every day of the week. The fact that you call us a 'spent force' when we've won more over the last say 10 years than nearly every team going tells us a lot about Liverpool's stature.

I quite like Sunderland and have found their fans likable also... but to suggest it's a sidewards step is ludicrous. I don't intend to seem condescending, but it's reality.

EDIT: We also shouldn't talk about who's going to challenge for the CL when the transfer window hasn't even opened <ok>... this summer could be massive for us, Arsenal and Spurs. We need an extra 12 points on top of this year's total to mount a real challenge. That's achievable with more signings of the calibre of Coutinho and Sturridge - as difficult to consistently achieve as that may prove to be.

that was an angry shower, lets take a look at the mighty LFC shall we........ from an outsiders POV.

Evicting residents through any means to expand the ground.
Hanson and Lawrence piping each other off and ****ing on TV over everything LFC = sacked!
Dogleash!
LFC of the 80's horrible dirty twats, souness, pigleash etc
Won nothing for ages
Absolute cock of a manager who you just want to smack
Huge club my arse, no bigger than SAFC, your all deluded, over expectant idiots who think carraghers balls have dropped.
You all think suarez is somehow acceptable because he scores goals when in fact he belongs in a mental institution.
And we have the beachball, reckon without horseface you'll be bottom half next season
