I'm bored of trawling through every single thread and reading about Ramirez. So please post all Ramirez related news, views and opinions on this thread.
I doubt we could realistically sign a better player than Ramirez. I'm currently watching the game against venezuela. I saw the game before that and he was quite good, played a few good passes and had one shot that he could have scored from, also tackled and dribbled well.
I'm bored with the expression 'bored of', if that helps. By all means, pop every bit of Gaston news on this thread. I'll leave it to the responsibility of Sharpshooter to provide links to every other thread started about Gaston, by those who don't follow his directive, from now on.
I agree I think he'll be a huge player for us. Sharpshooter who have you been upsetting to get so much negative rep?
As an experiment, I'll pass him some rep. Mind you, I doubt if it'll do anything. BTW, looks like you could spare some, Lamb.
Think it goes back to my days of telling everybody that Aaron Martin isn't good enough, which means I can now say 'I told you so'
You guys never get your priorities right. If Gaston left, our cuteness rating would go down by several points.
Ramirez was very good in the first half against venezela, got into dangerous positions, played a few good passes including a great flick through to cavani. Late in the half he dribbled past about 6 players, passed to forlan whose shot hit the post. He was also involved in their goal through dispossessing the opposition. His off the ball work was very impressive. A few times he lost the ball trying to dribble when he shouldn't have, he was nudged off the ball too easily once and one pass was particularly **** but apart from that he looked very good. My biggest concern with Ramirez is that his touch is too inconsistent, sometimes it is superb but too often he will lose control and gift the ball to the opposition when he is dribbling or his first touch will go to the advantage of the defender. I'm sure he has the football intelligence to know where to put his first touch and he will surely tone down his excessive dribbling with some more experience and a bit of coaching. The important thing is that he doesn't need to play the ball so far in front of him to dribble past players as can be seen in the 45th minute of this video: http://livefootballvideo.com/fullma...uth-america/venezuela-vs-uruguay#.UbnFAeVuimG
I can't speak for myself, but I have it on good authority that between Jack Cork and Morgan Schneiderlin we do all right in that respect, in any case. Maybe Gaston is the icing on the cake.
Oh me neither. Believe it or not though, there were many people on this board tipping Martin, yes Aaron Martin, as a future England star.
