Rick from Hull City live seems to think the player is Evans, not sure myself as it only leaves us with Meyler but does open the door to someone like Bridcutt!
Still early days, the window not even open yet and will then stay open until the end of August.
Leicester can stand their ground at the moment and who can blame them?
Could be a different story later in the window though if the player, his agent or his Dad starting making noises about the Premier League.
Suddenly we'd have the bargaining power.
Or by that time another keeper maybe...
Why do people assume his Dad dictates his career?

because his dad is a huge figure in football and no doubt a huge figure in his life. there's been no suggestion that he 'dictates' his career, just holds a degree of influence over him and wants what's best for him, like playing at the highest level possible....for example.
But surely that goes without saying?
Every Father wants his son to do the best he can.
A bit like us turning down £1.5m for Cameron Stewart, who must be worth all of £3.50p now! That's the crux. Leicester might not be overjoyed at our offer, but if we look elsewhere and they end up holding on to the player how much less will he be worth in January? Especially if their promotion bid is floundering.
In that scenario they will be desperate to get anything for him and turning us down will have been an expensive decision.

If you were a well respected individual in the game, known to all, and have been to some of the Countries biggest Clubs, you would have some degree of understanding about what decisions to make. I know if I were Peter Schmeichel, I'd have words with Kasper, advising him what route to take and what decision would be best.Andy King's Crown Jewel's said:Why do people assume his Dad dictates his career?Party Hull! said:till early days, the window not even open yet and will then stay open until the end of August.

Yes, I think we are now at the point when there is simply better value than Kasper Schmeichel.
He's obviously not bothered about playing in the Premier League in any case otherwise he would have put a transfer request in, so you have to question his ambition.
I'd go for McGregor now, surely at £1.8m he is by far the best pound for pound value.
Ooh Strov, I won't bite to that, but that did give me a chuckle on a Thursday morning

Haha I was going to say that as well, it's always a gamble turning down big money.
Celtic may regret rejecting too many bids for Hooper, I think he's in the last year of his contract so this is their last chance to cash in, nobody will buy him in Jan when they can get him for free 6 months later.
