What do you expect when that lovely group or rich toffs that run our country don't care about children going hungry. Had this been an old state school this child would have been fed and not drawn into the issue the school might have with the parent but this was one of Mr Gove's lovely new academies which are in it for profit.

It causes me great concern that our educational system is in the hands of a man who describes people who disagree with him as bonkerooney FFS.

I pine for the days when people showed compassion rather than the greedy selfishness of todays generation.

Poor old Charles Dickens must be turning in his grave. All those books he had written to change peoples' attitude to the poor and it has all been undone by a bunch of spoilt Old Etonians. I could weep.

Sounds like you're writing a letter to the Guardian.

It's a bit of an assumption to claim that the whole event is simply due to the fact that they're an academy school and that that would never happen at a state school. I expect there's plenty of state schools where something like that would have happened, as well as plenty of academies where that wouldn't have happened. I'd say it's more down to the head's/board of governors' views. Plus, it was Labour who introduced academies....

Although I agree it is stupidly harsh and unfair. The amount of debt I built up at work in the cafeteria....

Like the ones EA have been using for years?

Yep, they want all games not to be tied down to one console. So are scrapping any kind of DRM, even the online pases will be gone. They are just making Microsoft look even worse by the day.
