Because of his success in Portugal he's a wanted man. Me,I'd have a midfield dynamo to feed Bale from a central position as well a wide man on the left. There's too much spec about Damiao so I'd forget him and see which good Dutch scorer is available. I've lost touch about the others ie Negredo but a second striker would be the priority. Whilst Bale is effective on the left as Inter found out I feel he's stronger down the middle. That is what Thor as boss would do. Pardew wants Bent, wow, what would the Sunderland fans think?
I think AVB want's to keep Bale in the middle.as reports seem to indicate,he looking for a wide man,on the left
Spain . Great minds think alike tots. I've thought of a new site for Bent.........twatter. Spurm,as Spurs coach you'd all be on my staff advising me.
Does anyone here think Nani would be an interesting option? Admittedly he had a disappointing season last year but he was excellent the two before that. He's only 26 and it seems he would be available for about £10 million. If AVB could get the best out of his compatriot it would give us excellent cover and competition for Lennon. Views?
I've mentioned him before, Cover? stick him on the opposite wing to Lennon, totally free's up Bale doing that, Nani scores more goals, is more two footed and effective on 'both' wings imo, Lennon not so strong on the left. All 3 can interchange quite nicely though, and if his attitude is directed correctly I wouldn't be against it.
AVB wanted by big spending PSG according to the media. I can,t see why they would really want him , but maybe to lure in Bale. Levy secretly must be rubbing his hands in delight.
It doesn't guarantee he stays at Spurs I know, but just a bit of info. Our kit sponsor Under Armour are also after Bales boot deal with Adidas that expires within a year.
Please sweet Jesus I pray you are right but past form and complete silence leaves me expecting the worse .
It is very quiet isn't it. Literally nothing of any interest coming out of the club. YOu have me worried now, haha
I don't see a future for Nani at OT as there is too much competition for places, especially with Zaha arriving. And Moyes will be too conservative to risk him too often. A swap deal for Bale and he's yours! <huh> He's a player with a bit of devil in him who can produce the unexpected at times. He has a lot of ability, but if SAF can't get him to produce it consistently, who can? Worth the risk though.
He tended to score long-range goals against us, so if he did sign for us I'd be hiding behind the sofa every time he passed the ball back to Lloris...
Yup, I'd take him for that price. Obviously talented but question marks over his attitude, perhaps AVB is the man to put that right with the Portuguese connection. I get the feeling he has a bit of an ego though which could mean he doesn't want to drop out of the CL. I think somewhere like Juve or possibly Atletico would be more appealing to him.
http://www.manutd.com/en/News-And-F...un/Papers-Galatasaray-abandon-Nani-chase.aspx Manchester United have rejected a £6million offer for Nani from Turkish club Galatasaray. Winger Nani has a year left on his contract and has been told he can leave United if they receive the right bid. United want around £8.5million for the Portuguese winger, who fell out of favour last season in Sir Alex Ferguson's final campaign in charge. Galatasaray made a firm bid for Nani, but chairman Unal Aysal revealed the club's £6million bid had been rebuffed, with United determined to hold out for more. "We offered seven million Euros (£6million) for him," said Aysal. "But they didn't accept. We can't give more than this. We are not going to follow Nani anymore. We can't give more than seven million Euros for him. They want 10 million Euros (£8.5million). Because of this he is not on our transfer list anymore." 8.5m would be a steal. Funny how the Anderson - Nani deals ended up being so average. United were confident they'd signed the best 2 young players in the world.
Nani slows the game down quite a bit and doesn't track back enough. If those weaknesses in his game could be addressed then he'd be worth signing, but if he hasn't managed it under Ferguson, then how likely is it to happen now?
My main hope this summer is that Joe Lewis doesn't have Microsoft shares in his portfolio. They'll knock a large chunk of his worth when Microsoft get teabagged for the entirity of the upcoming console generation if he does...
