I ask because there seems to be a split on TWTD whether we should or shouldn't go for him.

There are strong and credible rumours that Simeon Jackson is being linked with us! Yes I know he's a scummer but he is a decent striker at this level and I'm sure his wage demands will be less than DJ's! The proposed friendly was meant to be part of the deal but after this backfired the rumour is that the deal is still alive and he would come here on a free!

I do think we need one more striker in the mold of DJ (or Jackson), that player with the ability to get in behind the defence who comes alive in the penalty box as whilst I'm sure our strikers we currently have will do well fo us under Mick, it doesn't overly excite me and looks pretty average for this division!! I think DJ would be a good move if the wages were right

I agree PTC but tbh I would take Jackson over DJ as he is younger and his wages will be more affordable!

Very true and I've always been fairly impressed with Jackson but I've heard alot of Norwich fans say his finishing isn't that great and actually when you look at it he hasn't got a great goalscoring record at Norwich. But then again DJ arguably has been hot and cold where he's been.

But yes I'd rather us go for someone younger and on lower wages perhaps from the lower leagues but if we can get DJ back here on low wages I think we should try it

Jackson's goals secured them promotion to Premier League so it would be poetic if he managed it for us as well. I have a nagging feeling that if we went for DJ he would end up like another Chopra!

I wouldn't say no if the deal was right. I can't see Mick letting anyone 'do a Chopra' and slack off after securing a deal so that wouldn't worry me at all.

Would be happy to see DJ back (even if we had to pay for him) as long as his wages were.......in line with others.

He must either be involved in the club (as in Norwich) or know someone who is though because he is right about things scarily frequently suggesting he has insider knowledge. In this case I doubt it is relevant though as Jackson has already been released.

I don't get how the hell people can compare DJ Campbell to Jimmy Bullard !? One of the funniest comparisons I've heard for a while! Until he was compared with Chopra.... haha !

Bullard's head was completely turned by ££££, though not entirely his fault. Hull paying him £45,000 a week had a lot to do with that....!

DJ doesn't have a battered body, and simply wants to play footy.

Yes please - However, the wage would need to be affordable. I'd be very happy to have DJ next season.

For those that don't, what are your reasons?

Age/ ££££/ better options? If so for the " better options " pile, I'd love to hear them....!

Actually you may have a point, I forgot he was about to sign for Hull then Blackburn came in with £££££ didn't they.....

That said, could be a one off? I don't know the situation in/ out at Hull.

I'd like to think Campbell isn't in it for the ££££!

All footballers are in it for the money, Its a job for them. In fairy tale land you might have players that play for the love of it but in the real world they want to rake in as much as they can, when they can.

I wouldn't totally agree with that statement...look at Hyam for example, allegedly only on £650 pw up until last season, and still signed an extension to his contract. And also Loach, who also allegedly took a pay cut to sign for his boyhood club.
Admittedly, 99% of the players are generally in the business for the ££, but can you blame them (especially the players that won't be anywhere near the premier league)
