Have I just actually seen someone defend DJ Campbell saying he's not about the money? Oh dear...

He was in Hull, sat down discussing terms of a contract when his agent gets a phone call saying Blackburn are interested. They tell our representatives (don't know who was there whether it was Bruce or Agnew) that they're just popping out for "dinner" and they'll be back soon. Turns out Blackburn offered him more wages so he went and signed a contract with them instead, never returning to tell us. I think we were told by a phone call from his agent.

If that's not greed, then you're deluded. Anyway, it looks as though we've dodged a bullet in not signing him. Don't want another money grabbing egotistical moron at our Club.

All footballers are in it for the money, Its a job for them. In fairy tale land you might have players that play for the love of it but in the real world they want to rake in as much as they can, when they can.

Yeah I did think after I put that about £££££ I remembered the incident at Hull.....!

He didn't have a very good spell at Blackburn, however think that's more than likely due to Rhodes being the main man.

IF he were to perform how he did on loan, yes please. However, now a bit 50-50 considering it all...!
