So the gist of what he has said is that you have the money to spend to compete with anyone but Wenger is unlikely to spend like that. (For 'unlikely to' switch to 'has been told he can't' )

Getting seriously ****ing fed up with the hatred our fans seem to direct at anyone who happens to be a director at Arsenal. Whether it's Kroenke, Gazidis, or Hill-Wood, they all seem to be money-grabbing, lying asshats according to a significant section of our fans. It's become the acceptable "in-the-know" opinion it seems. Fact is, it's all based on speculative bullshit.
These are the same people who are always saying that Kroenke is pocketing all the profits the the club make even though none of the directors take any money out of the club.It is also interesting that no one wants to congratulate Gazidis on the work he has done in negotiating the new Emirates contract or what is widely believed to be the new kit deal with PUMA.It is also ignored the work he has done securing secondary sponsors such as Indesit.

Am happy to hear that but we all know that action speaks louder than words...

Id love to see arsene rival the big boys for world class players that a world class club like us deserve now.

Exactly. I wish the populist haters of anyone with more money than them would do one. Gazidis is working towards the success of our club. For that I applaud him.

I suppose we must also recognise that most of the people voting to say he lied are fans of other clubs.

Exactly <ok> Gazidis is the CEO of our club and since he's come in he has done a pretty good job of marketing the club ,renegotiating commercial deals and increasing our revenue streams. In my book that makes him a good CEO, so the bitterness towards him because we haven't won any trophies yet looks a bit like a misdirected tantrum.

Also, as you point out, only one person who has voted 'he is lying' is actually an Arsenal fan.

I've always supported Gazidis. He's done very well since coming in & has guided the club. Now is time for action.

This is Arsenal on the edge. They could begin to climb, or they could fall off the cliff. So many promises, so little result so far.

Get it sorted guys, and get it sorted early.

Are you mad? The guy is more useless than an airbag made of spikes. He botched the emirates deal, he bullshits for fun, and the only reason the Puma deal went well was because Puma want us as their marquee club, even Ivan couldn't **** that one up.

Details please and evidence. Just stating an opinion in stronger language doesn't make your argument better unless you add information to back up your point. Why have you formed this opinion? How was the Emirates deal botched exactly? Not sure that Gazardis had much to do with the Emirates deal anyway, as he only became chief executive at Arsenal in 2008.

1. I'm talking about the new Emirates deal, the one Ivan ****ed up and got us barely any cash from
2. 150 million for 5 years isn't great, especially for a club as big as us.

Please explain how Gazidis ****ed up the Emirates deal.I would wager a bet that most experts in the field of football finance would say £30 million pa is a very good deal

There can be no excuses now that Gazidis has made that statement <ok>

That's just the shirt sponsorship, overall it's less than City are getting from Etihad

As an outsider I think it's the former, all clubs are just interested in the money now. Chelsea could have announced Mourinho way before/after they did but it just so happened to coincide with the ST renewal decline which was later that day.

That's shirt and stadium combined naming rights, which is **** really. when you think Manure make a fortune from DHL on training kits, this deal looks crap.

The puma deal is nice though
The naming rights issue has been debated in the past.If my memory serves me correctly, the reason the stadium rights payment has fallen is because as the stadium is new and has always been called the Emirates and will be for the lifetime of the sponsorship, people only know it as the Emirates and the value of sponsorship falls accordingly.

Hasn't it been accepted that the amount paid by Etihad is well over market value.Etihad is the national airline of Abu Dhabii and are owned by the royal family of Abu Dhabi. The same royal family also own Man City, the ridiculously high price of Etihad's sponsorship is just an attempt to get around FFP
