getting fed up of all the ****e to do with this, like Gerrez from now on i will only believe it when there is an announcement from Dave Whelan.

after all the support he has received from the fans and club over the ****e, that 90% of it is down to him, the least he could do is say i will stay another season and do my best to get Liverpool back in the top 4 then i will hopefully get a move away, thought he was a stronger character than this,i have kids and i am sure they and my partner wouldn't have too much issue with the press following them when they would be out spending my money, so i don't buy that one, **** me they live a hard life don't they!

don't like them but have to give people like Ronaldo and Beckham credit for the way they handled the media attention they got, they just did their talking on the pitch and stuck 2 fingers up at the press, shame Luis wont do the same in a red shirt for us,seems he wants out first sign of trouble that is mostly down to his own doing.

be glad when this ****e is all over whatever the outcome, not sure i care any more, need players who want to play for this club and give 100%, star player or not!

any update on who this **** is we are going to sign? Robinho,Rooney

He dragged the club's reputation down the sewer with him. Yet the supporters still supported him. This is how he repays them by forcing a move and decreasing the selling price.

I would sell at £35m and I think this is the price that he will eventually go to Real for.

I am disappointed with the way Suarez has gone about this; I understand why he would want to leave as he should be playing on the biggest stages but at least do it with class and dignity.

At LFC are doing it the right way - as Barrett said last night, we won't be entertaining offers less than £50m. We've been ripped off by Real before, lets hope it doesn't happen again.

  4. I don't have anything against Suarez bar the fact he has (sort of) spoken out. Luis is a determined ambitious player and he made no secret of wanting to play for one of the Spanish giants when he joined us. At the time, I said I didn't mind him being honest up front about it because he would have to perform well for Liverpool to earn that move and we'd make a tidy profit in the process. Nothing has changed for me.

You mentioned that you and your family would be able to cope with the media considering the wedge you (and family) would would be getting. As much as I understand that view, I have two points to counter it: (1) they are still only human beings and no amount of money in the world is going to change human feelings; and (2) they could get that wedge (or possibly more) at another club so why stick it out if unhappy?

Of course, moving to Spain won't solve this problem, their media circus (especially for the big two clubs) is worse than ours!

RHC has said its not Rooney <ok>

Agree with all of the above. I wouldn't want my child growing up hearing such bad things about me purely for my actions on a football pitch. BUT, if Suarez doesn't change, it will be the exact same in any country and surely he knows this.

He was going to leave sooner or later, but the way he's been so public about it does irritate me. If he wants a move, speak to the club and do it with dignity, and behind closed doors. Oh well, at least he hasn't left us in the lurch like Torres did, I appreciate the clubs stance on "he's not for sale" whether it be to raise the price or actually keep him, personally I wouldn't want a player to stay if he doesn't want to be here.

Now my only wish is for the deal to be done quickly and effectively, then it's up to the club to buy a suitable replacement (a marquee signing).

Again, as always, this Summer feels like it's make or break, to compete at the top we need top players, we could have potentially both Suarez and Reina going, two players that are in the spine of our side. Very good work needs to be done from each area of the club if we're going to come out of this stronger.

get your point but half of it is his own doing, we know the media are ****s nothing new there, but why should the fans and club suffer because of him?

he earns in a week what i earn in 3 or 4 years, yes i am not the richest person on the planet lol, but why should i feel sorry for him when most is his own doing, he mentions about not wanting to read what his daughter would see in the papers online etc, well Luis only one way to sort that out isn't there, yes some has been ott and he wouldn't get it as bad if he was English, but they know like the rest of us how the media works so stop giving the wrong story lines and concentrate on the right ones, player of the season would have been a good start, but we had the biting incident.

just don't understand why players are rewarded now days for being complete and utter ****s, Rooney wage demands at utd, Tevez refusing to play etc, they should suffer like the rest of us lol.

  7. He may well have brought it on his self but that does not change the fact that the media are on his back.

PS...you earn £150k in three to four years? <yikes>

  8. If you believe what both Torres and Mascherano said, they both spoke to the club privately for a while in an attempt to get a move but wasn't getting anywhere.

Difference with Suarez is, he's only been at the club since January 2011 so if this is the case he must have started trying to get a move before he truly got his feet under the table.

Ok, this thread is getting like a relationship advice column, or watching a breakup play out in front of you...you will go through five stages: denial, anger, despair, resentment, acceptance.<whistle>

What happens will happen, nothing any amount of angsting on here can do about it.

I'm switching off from transfers until 1st September. Will be a nice surprise, either way.:1980_boogie_down:

Definitely, and a guarantee from our board/Rodgers that any further 'big name signings' will either be on a 'no strings' basis or also involve the signing of a pre-nuptial agreement.

Loving that the BBC aren't even pretending anymore. A Particularly & gleefully spiteful piece by McNulty on the issue (apparently we're all blindly loyal)

No opportunity to comment on the ****ing ****er in this piece though. Funny that. Complete twat.

McNumpty is a cretin but at least he's not a biased cretin - his views on most teams and fans tend to be crap and completely inaccurate. I've never read a good article by him

You don't need to look for conspiracy when there is none. I can't see what McNulty said that was so bad.

Suarez did bring all this upon himself. The spat with Evra, the diving, the handball, the biting (x2) and together with his goals and dragging Liverpool singlehanded, he was bound to have the media attention.

Look. If he REALLY wanted to stay, would the press/media have been a problem? No, Suarez is so used to this sort of attention over the years that this all seems like a weak excuse. His lack of loyalty and respect for the club and the fans is just astounding.

Get rid of him for £35m+ and use the money wisely...not on another Carroll (Mark II) <ok>

    Two things.
Firstly, people change and grow. Perhaps Suarez didn't worry too much about media attention for himself in the past- but now he has a family he might be concerned for them. Maybe 'er indoors is giving him grief over it. Maybe he's beginning to see the light and though it still doesn't stop the rush of blood to the head on the pitch it might make him more remorseful after the event.

Secondly, you're right- he has brought it on himself- but because someone is wrong doesn't make the other side right. The media feeding frenzy is way over the top. The feigned outrage just hides the fact that they're rubbing their grubby mitts with glee every time he does something because it gives them something to write about.
I'm not going to condemn him on the evidence given by self- serving, ****-stirring hacks. I'll wait to see what happens and what he really said, as opposed to what they want us to believe he said.
