<peacedove>Real agreed deal with Suarez without Liverpool's knowledge.
Hold on to your hats. This is a biggy! Spanish paper Marca claims Real Madrid have struck a £40m deal with Liverpool for Luis Suarez. They add Suarez will sign a four-year deal and earn a pay-rise.

One other thing. The only area on the pitch that Rodgers is happy with is attack. Noy happy with Lucas (too scared to do something wrong), Gerrard, but he plays according to his own rules anyway. No mention of Henderson or Allen. The only defender he was happy with was Carra, but he's gone now. Pretty glum synopsis from the ****ing manager. Spend and spend WELL!

So he's happy with Cout who's just a kid, Sturridge who's hit and miss, Suarez who's getting off, Downing who's grim, Borini who's even worse, yesil who never plays and Aspas (if he signs) who could only manage 1 in 3 in the most open top flight league in Europe? Pretty glum synopsis OF the ****ing manager.

Yes he needs to spend WELL but we rarely do and going by what your mate reckons the "big" name coming in sounds like just what we don't need.

Bloody 'ell, lads.
You get a few rumours flying about with varying amounts of substance to them, then suddenly all the worst case scenarios are talked about as though they're done deals, the club is run by morons and we're all doomed.
You guys must be hell to live with. :)
It might not happen- and even if it does it might not be so bad. No matter how good a player is and how attached you become to him there's always another in the pipeline. A well balanced team is more important than individuals anyway.
Don't panic- sit back and enjoy the sunsh.....er, rain for a few weeks. Whatever's going to happen, it'll all come soon enough.

The £40m buyout clause will have been NEGOTIATED by Suarez's legal team - it doesn't mean LFC were 100% happy with the outcome ffs?! Sounds to me like he wanted to make his passage to a CL club as smooth as poss - which to be fair to him he has stated his ambition from day one.

That's business.

Well maybe it would be a good idea for us to employ some better negotiators <ok> Even the barcodes can take us for a ride so no doubt Suarez lot didn't have much trouble getting that clause in.

"Men of Liverpool FC we want a £50 mill release clause in our clients contract"

"How about we make it £40 mill instead as we can't see how your client is worth more than a shagged out ladyboy who we recently got £50 mill for"

"Ok honourable and stupid Men of LFC...thank you for massively under-valuing your prize asset and making it easy for him to **** off elsewhere"

That's business....the FSG way <ok>

SD, glad you are being active but let's keep all the suarez stuff in one thread please. <ok>

Don't interupt me while I'm ranting Saint <ok>

I would be hell to live with if I didn't come on here for a good moan <laugh>

messssssssiiiiiii!!!

I'll leave you that for the day... while the rest of you are all in the dumps i remind you that pepe flogs a shed load and suarez bites players and misses half seasons.... onward ever onward i say! I am filled with hope that the agents make a killing here.

and no i never put players names on shirts but i would not buy a FSG shirt again after last years. cheap tat and then they sacked kenny very under handedly.

We may have got a craking deal, we may have got shafted or (more likely) got to a position all parties could agree on by gaining in some areas and losing out in others. Suarez may have been non negotiable on the release clause for example. The lower the release clause the better for Suarez, without knowing all the other elements of the deal it's impossible to gauge whether the negotiations were successful or not.

We could all jump to predetermined, premenstrual like positions I guess? :)

Come on DK we sold Torres for £50 mill not too long ago and we then agree Suarez is worth £40 mill...even before this season we should have demanded a release clause higher than that (if true) for two reasons...one it discourages bids for a player the club have stated they don't want to sell and two it is a seriously low valuation in todays market.

I'm off for a beer <laugh>

Does anyone sometimes think we are better as a team when he doesnt play?

Anyone ever thought to themselves, ffs why didnt he pass that? Why doesnt he hold it up there and let more players get into the box? Why is he whinging at him when he could have done this/that etc? (Or am i just making myself feel better?

Awesome player, would rather he stay

I dont want him to leave but if he wants to then..................

what worries me is what we do with the funds we get if he is going, all well and good getting good money for him, but if we fecking waste it like we did the Torres money, we lose both fecking ways.

Suarez is more than a great player, he's great entertainment.
I love watching him play because, good or bad, you never know what he's going to do next. I'll be sad to see him go, but if he does, there are compensations. I doubt he'll ever change, he's always going to be a ****storm waiting to happen so at least we wouldn't have that to worry about, and we can strengthen the team with the dosh.

I think there's a stat somewhere that actually states that without him in the team, we win more...
Not saying we're a better team without him but without him our results don't exactly suffer..
Its a big IF, but if we can continue to add signings that are more Ford than Allen (who I still have time for and think will come good) this summer, I can't see us taking a step back, on the contrary!

Glass half full lads!

On a more +tive note, outfield has dried up, Nets tonight, get in!
